Used to live in Miami Beach (on Collins Ave) for 4 years and 1 year in the Ft. Lauderdale area.. I'm now, since about 1.5 years in the Tampa Bay area (Clearwater). Loved all the locations that I lived at.. However, the South Florida traffic really sucked... It's not perfect here, but better than down south.. Other than that, I liked the winter temperatures in South Florida better.. In December and January, we are usually in the low 50's around here (for lows)...

I live up by Leesburg now and actually like the cooler winter weather. Of course, I'm also from Maine so anything is better in winter... LOL

I am just north of Tampa, have worked all over the state, but find that the Tampa area is somehow better. Being a recent transplant from Michigan (January), I feel that it is all paradise down here by comparison. I am here to stay.

Hey sorry I so did not mean that as an insult, a little humor perhaps. I love going up to tall women and ofering to hi five them or somthing dorky, my friend Ellie is 7ft 2 and she is from some town out of Indy where they are all mutants, she does that too me.
We were at a Walmart and they have stuff way up there that not even I can reach, she got too it and I missed by a few inches. I guess it is all in play.
So since you are a tall woman do you find that guys look at you any different ?

Oh and being from Tampa rocks, there is always someone new to meet and cool people to talk to about the only bad thing is the traffic to and from work. Even at 5am there it is like bumper to bumper in the mornings.

Forgot to add myself here. I'm in Palm Beach Co., specifically W. Palm Beach/ The city is very beautiful and I like very much that I can get all the Latin food I want and hear Latin music on the radio if I feel like it but I dislike the hurricanes (2 last year and one this year...), the traffic - too many people who just can't drive! - and, well, in 8 years I haven't found the people here particularly friendly either...

well, dislikes are: spanish language whereever you go...
total refuse from english. Once they see me, they look at me like i am a dinosour...and they have no more words to express themselves...they assume a tall blond lady no way does skeakA poka poka Ispan'ol'
