Ahhhh... The last weekend of Bumper to bumper traffic on I-75 in Bonita Springs. Traffic isn't bad when they are gone. Has anyone noticed besides me that when they are here they are not very friendly. It seems like they don't see anyone else but their friends. It is very strange down here.

Hi! I would love to know why they have to be on 19 and 275 at 6:30 am while I'm trying to get to work in St. Pete.....I love when they go home and it doesn't take me over an hour to get to work. As for them not being friendly, I have noticed over the last couple of years the same thing. Very grumpy and really grumpy in the stores to the cashiers and that.

I have only been in Bonita for a little over 2 years and since the first season here I have noticed that they act like everyone should bow to them. It has gotten so expensive to live here that every business has help wanted signs up. The pay hasn't gone up with the cost of living here. But I only have until September and I hope to be relocating for work to Tampa. It is nice to see that I am not the only one that is glad to see them GO. I also would love to find a way to clip their wings. Any ideas??? The Hurricanes didn't chase them away!

I have been here 16 yrs and it has gotten worse over time, but you learn to deal with it in this area. I not only get the blue hairs, I live by Clearwater so I get the lovely spring breakers too!! Haven't figured out what one is worse yet...lol The only problem with them going away is we would end up having a state tax. They are a pain in the butt at times, but in a way we need them and the wonderful tourists. Now clipping their wings, well I'm from NJ and can have an attitude at times (when someone is being outright rude), so I don't really put up with them whining. I have been known to open my mouth in line at the store when they are giving the poor girl a hard time or making rude comments while waiting. Seems to work most of the time and shuts them up...lol

I am from Daytona Beach so I know about Spring Breakers, motor cyclists, race fans, etc. I would rather put up with all that than snobs to be honest! Hey my parents are from Mass and there are a lot of nice people from other states maybe it is the money thing, I don't know. But I do recognize the older I get the more I voice my opinion! LOL

yeah in a way can deal with the spring breakers better. They aren't around that long. Not all snowbirds are grumpy and do know a few that I like.

Witchie good to know there are likable ones out there, but must be in your city only. I haven't met any nice ones that come down to Bonita/Naples area. But I do try to stay away from them. Well hope you had a good weekend.

There is this sweet couple that live down the street...they are the only nice ones I know of. They are the type that you picture every grandmother and father should be like. They are just soooo cute together and funny. As we all know, they aren't the normal snowbirds :) All I can say is yeah it will be over soon!!!

I have quite a few "Snow Bird" friends that I met at a waterfront pub. Some from Canada, Michigan, Ohio, etc.

They come down each year and it's like a family reunion. Plenty of piano music, dancing and socializing.......We have a ball.

During the off season they are missed and the Florida residents have (some need) nine months to recover.

I say "Good bye snow bird, hope to see you soon. It has been fun!"

Maybe it is just down here near Naples that they are rude and snobish. I heard the other day that Naples was #2 with the most millionaires. Hummm maybe if I win the lotto tomorrow night they would talk to me and be nice? LOL I know I am dreaming. I do know that the ones we got in Daytona were nice, but they couldn't drive either. LOL
