...there are so few on MD. Or if they are on here, they never write much on their profiles, or participate in the forums or blogs... so one can't tell anything about them.
I do see men under 40 - but I'm not interested in dating anyone young enough to be my child. I see quite a lot of participation by women here... so I am puzzled.
Don't men over - say - 45 have any interest in those who live here? Have they all given up? Or do they sit back and hope some aggressive female will suss them out? I can tell y'all from experience, that the more aggressive and over-the-top the initial contact, the more likely that person is to be damaged - and desperate. In two years on this site, I've dated only one man from GA. What's up with this, folks?

Same story as when someone posts "what is everyone looking for?" on here: many people who join MD aren't on here to meet their one true love. Some are on here to meet friends that have similar interests, etc. My question is - if you're on here for that - why don't you just GO OUT and meet people in public?

Easy to learn the spelling, just change the G to an A come on out for a ride - - - on an earthquake lol. Those horrror stories about earthquakes are overblown

why don't you just GO OUT and meet people in public? 
One can meet "friends" in public, too.
The whole point of being on this site is to meet people one doesn't - or probably won't - encounter in a typical day, week, month. Much of my point was in respect to my age range preference. Things are much, much different when one is in one's twenties than when one is in one's fifties.
- and I'm here for friends and dating... I was referring here to the dating aspects - and prospects - on MD.
I'm not being critical of the site, or even of men - but I wonder why there are so many on Y***** and P_F (in my age group) and so few here...

The reason I stopped bothering to even write anyone in Georgia is because I have never received an email on Match Doctor from any woman in Georgia in the past four years - either from answering my email or writing me directly.
Women outside Georgia certainly don't think I'm a loser. So don't complain.

I'm not complaining about the men; I'm pointing out the lack of men (in my age preference_ - and proposing questions as to why that is...
No one said anything about "losers."
Highlandslass: I might have emailed him too - if were he was not a smoker..
Besides... I started this thread partly because I was really tired of the same few GA threads. It's nice to see there are a few people who are participating in a new one.

To Everyone:
I would also like to clarify that I like MatchDoctor very much and that is why I still have a profile on here. The point I was trying to make with suggesting another website was that if this one isnt working out for someone romantically and that is what they looking for, then there are other free websites out there that may be able to help. I was not bashing MatchDoctor, just offering an alternative.

Let me tell you what's ironic about this site and the other "free" sites. Almost the same people are on all sites.
I have had worse luck with Plenty of Fish than with Matchdoctor.

If I might make a suggestion - remove the ALL CAPS FROM YOUR PROFILE. It makes it difficult to read and is seen as "shouting" in internet etiquette. Best of luck!

Well I can tell ya'll that I put a pretty good bit in my profile. I am not ashamed of anything and have nothing to hide,... as some others may have "secrets". Shoot i ain't on here to make anyone happy, but myself,...meaning that If you don't like me for who I am, I have no use for you pretending that you do. I am a straight shooter and purty much have been up front with folks I have met on here.
