Tomorrow is the 100th anniversary of the First Day that Adolf Hitler attended elementary school. The Secretary of the Georgia Department of Education plans to make it a double holiday - both celebrating this ideal roll model for the future leaders of Georgia and the state's No. 50 ranking in SAT scores.
In keeping with the Georgia Republican Party’s theme for 2008 – Ein Volk, Ein Party, Ein Catastrophe - School children from around the state will celebrate the holiday. A grand Adolf Hitler School Day parade was planned at Woodstock Southern Baptist Church in suburban Atlanta. However, the state government is now almost 3 billion dollars in the hole and it has been cancelled. The governor has fired all minimum wage state employees as a cost saving measure. There are no employees to clean up after the parade.
Department heads appointed by the current administration in Georgia can only add and subtract. They never got to multiplying and dividing while playing football at the University of Georgia. They over-estimated their tax receipts and under-estimated the pay offs given the companies and individuals, who helped fund the 2004 Republican take-over.

If conservative government racks up a 4 billion dollar state budget deficit, I'd prefer liberal.

I have been living here all my life. Georgia has always been on the back of the bus. Now tell me who ran this state for so many years? Who wanted to dumb down the curriculum so the playing filed would be "equalized". Who didn't want to recognize those that achieved the most because they didn't want to offend other students? Who decided that it would be cruel to fail a student any more? Who decided that students should not have red marks on their paper?
Stupidity has been disseminated into this state, and many others, because of a liberal agenda that was not stopped by conservative leaders, yet. And you dear uneducated, hate filled, moron are one of those that has brought disaster to this place.

It is amazing that we have only had a Republican governor for a few years...yet everything that is wrong with the educational system in Georgia is HIS fault.. I think not!..It was the long running LIBERAL Democratic reign that caused the decline of the educational system in this state and many others as well...It is NOT the end of world for a student to fail, especially at a young age. This is what sometimes make people work harder, to finally succeed and pass. That is what kept my generation going, to work hard to succeed. I think that as parents WE have to make the system work, not just the politicians. When my children had a failure, I did NOT go to the school and say to pass them so their feelings didn't get hurt or that they were going to feel inferior. I told them to work harder so that they would do better next time and helped them in any way I could to help them succeed. I think that as citizens we ALL need to make a change in our education system as it is ALL of us that pays in one way or another, be it in the schools or for those that ultimately fail, in the prison system.

Lordamercy! You aren't kidding. A couple of years ago I was in the supermarket line here. A "lady" was arguing with the man in front of her that it was Clinton who sent the troops into Iraq. George Bush, God bless his soul, was doing his best to get them out and clean up the mess that the libruls made in Iraq.
