The People of One Fire, a national heritage society of people of Creek, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Seminole, Alabama, Koasati, Natchez, and Apalachee descent are sponsoring a free camp out at Newton Park in Jasper, GA on November 7-9. This will be the peak weekend for leaf color in the southern Blue Ridge Mountains. This strictly a social event - not a commerical pow-wow. People of all ethnic origins are welcome. We are expecting a lot of local Cherokees, too. There are folks coming from as far away as Texas. We will be touring the famous Native American sites (both Creek and Cherokee) in the vicinity of Jasper. Write me (Etowah) if you are interested and want an event schedule.

By the way, this is not a singles event, but the vast majority of people, who have registered so far, are single adults of varying ages. I guess that is because it is easier for singles to get away for the weekend.
