Why do people wear shorts and a T shirt and flip-flops when its 30 degrees outside? They are not fooling anyone we know you are freezing your buns off; so why not invest in a jacket. Yes I am mostly pointing my finger at my fellow white humans. Just though that was strange so stop.

Many of us have genetic forebears from the North European cold climates.
Myself, I have Romanian Gypsy/Russian/Cossack along with Scottish/Welsh.
All those genotype forebears come from cold climates and instill a natural cold-resistance in me.
Actually, I function, think, and breathe better in colder weather.
Then of course, maybe you're simply too much of a "wimp" to handle cool weather.

..actually ,I believe HA's explanation is more accurate...I work in Athens ,but I'm originally from "up north"...Up north ,jackets(lightweight) aren't worn til the temps hits the mid 40's tolower 50's depending on wind .Heavy jackets and /or sweaters dont usually make it out of storage until it dips well below the mid 30's...

Actually I have lived in Georgia my entire life and I wear summer clothes year round. It's all about preference. I like the cold weather. We only have maybe one solid month of good cold weather so I take advantage of it while I can. I might not wear shorts, but I always wear short sleeve t-shirts and flip-flops no matter the weather. If I go somewhere I am outside for what, maybe three minutes to get from the house to the car and from the car to where ever I am going and back again. What's the point in dressing to the nines is "winter" gear when everywhere you go has heat?

You think it's cold here?
My sister lives in Calgary, Alberta now. She emailed me that it was MINUS 30 degrees there with three feet of snow against the house!
Now that is cold weather!
