Has anyone looked outside these past couple of nights? Gosh, the full Idaho moon is simply gorgeous! Just a few minutes ago, I went outside to toss the trash and noticed that my entire front and most of my backyard were painted with silver moonbeams. Those of us who live in remote or isolated areas are sooo fortunate to be able to enjoy the Idaho night sky. My little house is so situated that the Milky Way runs over the top of it, with The Big Dipper just to the left of the bathroom window and the Seven Sisters up and to the right.

I remeber coming back from Boise last autumn, dropping down out of the Craters of the Moon and there was a huge harvest moon pushing itself up and over the Lost River Range...absolutely breath taking...

Anyone else have a story about the moon??

Yes, the moon can be beautiful here. Unfortunately, I don't live away from the lights and can't get the view that you're so fortunate to have.

I grew up in the country and do miss being able to see the stars to where you thought you could reach up and touch them.

Or lie on my back in the snow during a full moon, watching the snowflakes drift down from the stars, sparkling from the moonlight shining on them.

One day I'll move to a place like that again. But for now, I'll have to settle for the view I have and read posts like yours....very easy to visualize what you posted. Thanks for sharing.
