These Colts are like the 90's 49er's. Once they they were finally able to beat Dallas, it wasn't because they played up to the level they were getting beat at, it was mostly because Dallas wasn't as good as they were. The Colts will have to win the next 3 superbowls before they even get consideration as one of the best teams of the decade.

I'm a big Colts fan...but dont go passing out Super Bowl tickets yet.
DEFENSE when championships!
Come playoff time, we will see the same old colts...The defense will choke and Manning will have to scramble to try to win a 41- 38 game.
I just dont see it this year.
My prediction for the Super Bowl... Bears over the Bengals

I'm not too sure about the Bengals making it to Miami this season.
As far as Defense winning championships, then I'd have to say it's between the Broncos and Ravens.
As for Da Bears, well the Dolphins and Cardinals (even though they lost) have showed the kinks in Da Bears' defense, so the top teams in the league are going to be picking up on these kinks really quick.
I'm gonna go way out on a limb here and say that my prediction, based on the season so far, is Ravens over the Giants.
That's right, I'm predicting that little brother is going to get to the Super Bowl before big brother.

I'd go with Broncos vs Giants in the superbowl, I think broncos have some offense, sometimes, I think. But the giants d has come out of no-where this year to be really f'in good! Like we knew they had flashes, but now they're really f'in good!! But a Manning vs Manning game may be too much for the NFL to pass up. Look for the refs to favor the Colts in the playoffs again like they did against the Steelers.

So nobody sees the Bears and the Colts in the Superbowl? I was born in Chicago and have lived in Hobart for 30 years--I'm not sure who I would root for! (Do I have the divisions right--is this even possible?)

Bears vs Colts, possible, highly unlikely... Colts have no defense and Chicago can't beat a good team.....

it's rather comical to watch the armchair quarterbacks picking apart the winner of any particular game, let alone the Super Bowl Champs. one learns by his or her mistakes. the bottom line is ... the Colts earned the chance the hard way, a true team effort, and won the Super Bowl because they were the best team.
and as they say, the cream always rises to the top ... eventually.
