most people think they have to have sex within the first few dates. i think people should wait to get to know the person before committing to sex. most relationship don't last very long unless you are friends first.

I agree. My friends always try to push me to have sex from the get go. They think I'm missing out on so much, but look, for me it takes longer then a week and a few dates for me to decide to sleep with the guy. I guess that is why I'm still single. Oh well.

I wish there were more men who felt that way. I love sex but I have to feel some affection for a guy before I really want to have sex. I also don't want to talk about sex by email or on the phone when I'm just trying to get to know someone. I do like nice long good-night kisses within the first few dates as long as I know I can leave without being pressured too much to go further before I'm ready.

It's never a wrong decision to hold off on having sex, however, sex is a basic internal instinct. When there is a strong attraction, sometimes it is very difficult to hold off.

Boy Candy i agree with u 100%. Why do men think that when they take u out to dinner or the movies that their has to be something in it for them.  Their has to be feelings before i go their. I also have to know this person. Yes and i wish their was more men like stealth but their isn`t at least i havent found them. LOL.....

Hello everyone ! I must say that I too am amazed to hear that from a guy. Seems like I get all the others with the first train of thought. OH WELL.........I'll live. Somebody said something about sex being instinctual and that sometimes it's harder to control......DAMN.........where's that one at? ( joking...just joking)

Sex on the first date? Forget it. No way. Not happening. A woman has to have more to bring to the party if she thinks she is going to be able to get physically intimate with me. My experience has taught me that the faster a woman wants to sleep with you the more likely she is to use sex as a weapon. Remember guys it isn't because you are really that special or anything, a woman that sleeps around on the first date isn't very selective period. I ain't biting...ladies if you can't wait then your not worth it.

Stealth121: I don't agree with your implication that "most people" expect sex early in a relationship, but I whole-heartedly agree with your own views on the subject. (get to know each other ... real friendship is important ... etc.)
(I assume that when any of you folks refer to "men" and to "women" that you are really thinking "some men" and "some women".)

you maybe right about the word in of my post but most are like this now days. the world is becoming a big infected place. the media and entertanment on tv and movies are showing people that is ok to have sex with out love. i think you should be married but that is a bibical veiw. i choise to believe that. it is let up to others to do such. any how most of the time sex is like a thing people do just for the own amusment anymore. show have a meaning. well more that is has now.
