for some reason i always make someone mad. i say what is on my mind and someone always get offended or mad. i am honest and open minded. i believe people should be honest and open minded and say what is on there mind. the thing is i always find the ones who don't like that way. i think i should be different i guess. what you all think?

No sir you didn't mess up! I have spent 26 years in the Army and boy do you hear things that you never expected to come out of someones mouth. We have freedom of speech and if you want to exercise your rights to that, then so be it. Just keep in the back of your mind though that some people out there cannot handle the truth and that some people have a soft shell. Just turn towards Jesus and he can give you an answer to your question. Don't beat yourself up over it!

well i do say what is on my mind. and i do try to say the truth. i know the truth hurts and alot of people are scared of the truth. i am a chrisstain and i don't believe in being one to sugar coast things. i'm against gays but not against the person. just there life style. i don't thing having sex out of marrage is right. though it is very hard not too. i am human and have desires too. though i try to stay away from the temptation.

Maybe its not about what you say, rather than how you say it. One can always be open and honest, even blunt at times, but having tact will give you greater results than not. You're entitled to your opinion, and are allowed to voice it when you feel you need or want to, but you can't expect people to not have a reaction to it, on some level. How you react to them and their reaction seems to be the issue here, not you saying whatever is on your mind.

Stealth - how about an example.....maybe we can help you find a diplomatic way to tell the truth. I am open and honest too, but many people are not strong enough emotionally to take constructive criticism or the truth about themselves. Just look at how many very, very heavy people that wear clothes 5 sizes too small....makes me crazy, but I don't walk up to one and say, "hey, tub-o-lard, those clothes are way too small for you." If the opportunity arose, you could say, "wow, that outfit is cute, but it looks a little uncomfortable. Did you try a size higher?" You get my drift.....try to be positive first then lay the truth on 'em (or, like my mother taught me--if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all).
