Most women (from my experience only mind you) tend to look for the "bad boy". These are often egotistical pricks (not always, but usually). They're out for themselves and don't care who the shit on (for the lack of better words). Then I hear women complain about how they get treated bad by these guys and just want to find someone to treat them nice. Well, nice guys are saps usually as well, therefore never attract the women because their doormats and most women don't want that either.
The trick is to look for someone real. Someone that does their best at what they do. They might not be Mr. Don Juan. They might not always have "just the right words" to say every time. They screw up just like everyone else. The difference is, they care. the learn, adapt and grow in a relationship. They know it's not just about them or the woman. It's about both. And work hard every day to keep the love and relationship alive.
Again, this is just in my personal experience.

They're all around you. Here's an example...
Anyone who knows me knows I'm a decent person. I'm not perfect. I make mistakes, but I try to be the best I can. I treat people with respect. I'm far from a religious person, but I do believe in the Golden Rule.
Anyway, I'm a musician and I was interested in this particular lady and she was interested as well, till she found out I was a musician. She said all musicians are partiers and can't be trusted. I don't know what experiences she has had, but because of that it ruled me out. Now yes, I'm a musician, Yes I go out sometimes, but seldom drink more than a couple beers. And I enjoy playing in front of crowds. I've never been unfaithful or abusive. I've always tried my best to treat a woman with dignity and respect.
So see, they're all around. Just because they might not be the obvious, they're still there.

Musicman, it makes me giggle a little when you say you were dissed by a woman because you are a musician! I have been in the music biz for a while, albeit not as a musician, but I have many friends who are, including some popular artists, and some that are making their way to the top as we speak, and those who are already there.
It is amazing how many women choose the bad boys, I am the opposite, I choose the musicians! HA! So, maybe you are looking in the wrong places too because a musicman is the only type of man I want in my life!
