What do you think of people that are total hypocrites  ? I have encounted several in my adult years and I may have been one as well at times  , but I try to stay true to what I say and do most of the time  . What are your thoughts?

I agree with you on that Agent J. I also think it is just a part of life, maybe I am wrong and I will probably get some flack on this, that is if anybody else posts to this lol

I have had my share of being a hypocrite as well...but I think we all learn from our mistakes. And the people who dont see that they are being hypocrites are the worst kind...

the worst ones for me are those who spout about religion and tell you how awful you are if YOU to go to church and they themselves go to church on Sunday, praise the Lord, and then walk out and before they even leave the church parking lot are lighting up cigarettes!! Or say..well I don't think God will mind if we have a friendly game of poker Sat. night..we are just playing nickel and dime anyway!! geez where do some ppl get their thinking?! I just want to poke them in the head and holler HELLO is anyone in there...a sin is a sin, no matter if its nickel and dime or not!

I have no tolerance for it at all. I don't like liars and that, at the heart of it, is what hypocrisy is about: Lies. You say one thing to look respectable, then do the opposite. I've had too many dishonest people in my life.

Many people that appear to be hypocrites are in fact liers! As to everyone being hypocrites from time to time... yes... Cognitive dissonance is a condition that affects us all.

Hypocrites, real hypocrites and not just people who make a contradictory sort of mistake in their thinking at some point, are pretty much the worst of scum.
I'd rather deal with an honest whore, thief, ax murderer, or etc. than a hypocrite who shines their own reputation up to be so pretty and thoughtful, while dragging others down in the mud with their lies.
Hypocrisy of a certain nature, too, is the only sin that is mentioned in the Holy Scriptures that is unforgiveable. What Judas did was a great act of hypocrisy, because he knew what Jesus was, what he'd done, and he betrayed him to make himself look good to others. And that is the unforgiveable sin, to know the truth about the holy spirit and to speak against it.
It's not unforgiveable if you don't know .. and it's also not hypocrisy.
Jesus hated the hypocrites and it's actually the first thing I ever read about him that struck me as truly interesting, something real about his personality that went beyond what you'd read in your average myth. Anyone who truly hates hypocrisy, has something worth checking into!
