Not the least of them was seeing someone else while living with me. I do think it would take a strong person, because there are times that it can be hard even when they are on their meds...just curious.... Andrea Yates? I was a foreign born kid that came into a family where one of my parents had this issue. I lived a life of horror. I'm not about to duplicate it. And I'm not an enabler. I prefer to have strong stable people in my life as at this point in my life I have to look out for myself. I have to be that kind of person because I'm trying to make a living. can't live a horror of dealing with an unstable person. And what if they kill me or cause me harm? My justice- or anyone elses justice- becomes a plea bargain in a court among of jury of enablers.   Jun 3 @ 1:51 PM Would you or could you date some one if they had........     signme Posts: 9,386 I'm a teacher and have been one now for 30 years. I was really surprised a few years ago when a bunch of us were talking and found that most of us are on anti depression meds. I say surprised because all these people handle themselves and the situations they find themselves in very well. Teaching is a highly stressful job and at times can be overwhelming. I'm sure there are plenty of people in my life who are taking meds for something like this and I just don't know it. If someone is taking care of the problem, I see no reason not to date them. However I just came out of a relationship with a man that has many emotional problems. The few weeks he was on medication he was fine. Then he started acting strange and telling me weird things about our relationship. At the end, he became extremely ugly in the things he told me. I said I would date someone if they had it under control, like I do. Yes, I'm on anti-depressants too. My ex would NOT stay on them and he more or less loss control of his personality. That's what I won't go through again.
