Heck no baby gir!!!! I wasn't shunned! They have been wonderful to me! 
And let's remember...it's ME they want to get to know...not my baby. And this little mama wants to TEAR IT UP at the next camp out. My baby girl's gona be with her daddy or at a friends house when I go.
Limits must be set, and I for one will abide by the rules set down by those doing all the work.
I can't imagine the sweat and care that goes into a project this size. I'm just grateful that they want me along!

This is in NO way intended to stir any pot but I think having TWO types of get-togethers is a great idea. Because there are times when adults need the company of only other adults and there are times when multiple generations should all be together. Each type of gathering has its own lessons and comforts; in my mind they are separate but equal as part of "the human experience".
I'd venture to guess there is at least one equally brave soul on this side of the country here who could organize a family-oriented get-together along the lines of what luvs has started for the adults and what Pete would like to do on the west coast. And perhaps someone who could organize a west-coast adult get-together as well?
It would certainly provide many more opportunities and realistic options for all situations/opinions.

That is a FAB idea.
Perhaps opening a few new threads for specific areas would be a great way to find out how many people could come to each get together.

Well, there are the USA threads of course - and I'll post something in the California forum as well if it looks like this might turn into an event.
I'm not trying to juxtapose these events... BTW. I think there should probably be camping trips all around the country this summer.

im probably gonna catch some flack for this post but i really dont care.. im just gonna offer my opinion..with all the campers that were there this year i would definantly like the opportunity to have my son meet them all!! BUT that is only after meeting them already and spending time with them.. as i see it going into a situation like this seeing how it is a internet dating site!! there are alot of freaks out there that can access the forums and get info as to where its gonna be held and if there are kids there its almost an easy target..yes there are alot of caring people going but it just takes the one freak that makes something happen..im not pointing figures at anyone but ive heard it so many times on here where people spaz out about having kids pics in their profiles because of the prediters out there.. well, wouldnt that be kinda like saying he our kids are gonna be here at a certain time? maybe after meeting the other campers at an adult gettogether we can keep in touch privatly and set something up for a family outing that would be a little safer for our littles ones!!! if something bad was to happen at the camping trip it would not only give us campers a bad name but also give md some bad publicity!!
JMO i think this is the most ive ever writtin on any subject here!!

We have did a Lake Tahoe and a Vegas one out here. I think there might be one in the making for this fall out here. We will see ok?
