Men and facial hair

Just wondering if all men are emotionally attatched to their facial hair? I have noticed the majority of the single men have some. Would you consider shaving for the right woman? Or do you feel that is asking too much? This has been a mistery to me for many years. So many of you seem to like women to shave so you don't get a mouthful of hair, how do you think some of us feel getting a mouthful of whiskers? I have probably opened a HUGE can of worms here, but I was JUST WONDERING. Also, how do you other women REALLY feel? I don't mind if it is kept trimmed nice, but some of the ole scraggelly things are just plain gross. (In my opinon) Waiting to hear......

I'm not attached to facial hair. The most I have ever grown is a mustache. Beyond that if anything else ever grows out to be noticeable I am complaining about the itching. I hate it lol So I have no problem shaving any of it off.

Facial hair for me was like most women do with their own hair... One time they want it long, then short, then shorter... I had a beard for 14 years, some people said it was great and others didn't care one way or the other... If I had met someone that didn't like it, I would have shaved... Except for the Mustache... One time, I shaved it and looked like a little boy, I'm keeping it...

Even though it's difficult not to lump ALL women into one group or MEN into one group... We are all different with different tastes...

I have a beard off and on. If a woman asks me to shave it off I will. It's no big deal.

I love beards and goatees. I like them neatly trimmed, but I like facial hair so much that I don't understand why it's not a preference you can choose when doing searches. If a guy doesn't at least have a moustache, I probably won't be physically attracted to him.

Well now, loneranger, I didn't intend to make anyone get all huffy. I was just wondering. I do think it is kinda sad, you thinking

in the end thats all that really matters is how i feel>>>

I have not cut my hair for years because that is how my husband liked it, long. I wanted to cut it many times, but he would ask me not to. I loved him and wanted to make him happy, he shaved for me.

GOOD LUCK IN YOUR SEARCH.........

Heh, I like to get rid of my facial hair sometimes, it's annoying to me, albeit i'm only 19, but the only problem I have with it is that I sometimes let it go for a week, and then I have to break out the non electric razor

Hi Hotshot....been a long time since you asked this question but I never started reading any of these threads until today. Anyway, to answer your question, No, there's no "emotional attachment" to facial hair. A lot of us wear some simply because we feel it makes us look more distinguished & mature, if not less ugly (as in my case). I've experimented with lots of styles. When I wear facial hair it is ALWAYS neat, trimmed and in whatever style is preferred by the lady in my life; just a mustache, mustache & goatee, full beard, or clean-shaven. So, Yes, if I was with a lady who wanted me to keep my face totally smooth I would do so even though, due to my baby-face I look ridiculously young without at least a moustache (was carded for beer as recently as a couple years ago when I was clean-shaven, even though I was 38 years old!). My advice would be to stay away from any guy who would refuse to shave if you ask him to. If his beard is more important to him than pleasing you, he's got PROBLEMS! Hope that helps....

I don't mind facial hair on a guy...just keep it nice and trimmed...I agree with Always if the guy is more attached to his facial hair than you then send him packing....A relationship is a give and take situation ....besides the dang hair grows back right? I have short hair at present mostly because I had long hair throughout a six year relationship because HE liked it...well I didn't and I wanted a change so off it went as soon as his ass was gone. Compromise is always a good thing between people and makes everyone happy in the end right?

Usually I just dont have the time to shave my face. When it starts to itch, I chop it all off. Normally I only keep a goatee, but in the winter it helps to have a full beard. I work outside alot and it helps keep my face warm. Just my 2 cents...

I find this subject a very interesting subject. Let me see if I can make some sense of this. I have facial hair and would never think of shaving it off. That would be like asking a lady to not wear makeup. We all do things that we feel make us more attractive and with me I think it helps me because i have chubby cheeks that the beard hides . As far as getting a mouth full lol how would like to kiss a lady and get makeup in your mouth . I know I keep my beard close to my face and I groom it everyday just like we all comb our hair. If you are getting a mouth full then maybe you need to ask him to trim it and stop kissing mountain men i cant believe i said that lol. Well thats my thought on this matter and I hope it helps so you can better understand those who have facial hair.....Ken
