Well, that was about this past December (8 months ago or so).
Anyway, I think I'd remember if you did.
Hmm....I've noticed that you have a pic of yourself in a bikini in an interesting pose as well.

Yep, my mother would have been apalled to know I didn't keep my knees together while bucking the swells and that 5' rudder.
Geez, at least your picture has SHAPE

I was actually kind of embarrassed when they took that photo. I've always been a little self-conscious. I'm not ashamed of my body, but I am modest.
I'm not flirting, but your pictures aren't too bad. You definitely seem to handle, um, deck work rather well.

Yes. It's about a 6 year-old photo. The only differences these days are: different haircut, a goatee, a little heavier, and not my physique isn't quite so "cut".
This is the photo that I used on this site several months ago, but under my old screen-name.
Yes, I used to model. I hated it, but needed the money for grad school.
In fact, this was my very last official model photo.
No, I'm not going to say where this photo was used. Of course, some of you, being the clever buggars you are, may figure it out.
Tell me, why is this photo so provocative now?
When I used it here previously, it was seldom commented on.

Perhaps there are more horny women on the site now? Or even perhaps the time of year (summer vs winter) makes a difference in the reaction. Though you would think the pic would be "warming" in the winter. I guess it depends on what you find attractive.

This site is really kinda funny......almost everyone on here is looking for someone who can meet criteria that they cant even meet themselves!!! hahaha
Why not, if you think about it......your chances of meeting someone "perfect" on the internet, and tricking them into thinking you are in their "league" is much greater than doing so in person on the streets.

Understanding why someone didn't respond is like trying to find out what the afterlife is like. By the nature of the problem, communication is cut off, so there's no way to get any feedback. I e-mailed this one girl who lives locally the other day. As far as I can tell, everything in my profile would make me a prospect worth a few bytes, but she obviously saw something that told her otherwise (or didn't see something crucial, whatever that could be). The only thing I can think of is she wasn't in the mood, or she saw my pic and thought she could do better (Snob!)

Depends on what he's like...I am no great believer in the theory that if this one is good, the next one will be better...however I'm a rational type. Agreed, if the person you're right makes you happy and you would be less happy without them, then stick with them. But if their leaving really has no dramatic effect on your happiness then find someone else.

Mail her again alternaut, maybe she missed your post, especially if you're close by. Write her a nice letter and say something about her profile that you liked. Can't imagine how she'd pass you by.

Well, that is awfully kind of you to say, but this example was not an isolated incident--it's a trend. If it was isolated, I could easily assume something subtle would be significant to her. E-mailing someone a second time when when you've received no reply is harrasment. I've thought about it a *little* more, and she really does look nice in her pics, and she's still "New". I'm guessing she was innundated w/mails, and the energy she had invested in replies was exhausted before she could get through the other guys who have more rezzmatazz than me. Also, her only "friend" has "bdsm" in his nick. I can see why I wouldn't have much in common w/someone like that.

Those are some giant leaps in logic about the character of that girl, as well as the character of person the guy with bdsm in his nick. Generalizations and being judgemental????

What's so general about bdsm? And who said anything about judgemental? It's highly logical. Not flawless (she could have clicked him by mistake, for instance) but logical.

After using this site for awhile, I begin to wonder about the expectations that women have regarding men. Women appear to be very picky and particular about the man they would like to meet. Its almost unrealistic. Ladies, don't listen to this.^^^ Stick with picky but do not play with their hearts like another poster said. Do not file them in a pile while looking around. Investigate deeper. I did. I was picky. I found a wonderful man. I am glad I was picky. I let go of Mr Right Now and now I am happy. I hope it stays but I will be happy just for the fact that I did find one that fills my heart.
I will be grateful forever to have found him.... no matter how long it lasts....because I know now that you CAN be picky and find a match.

I think both women and men should be picky about who they want in their lives. Would sure cut down on hurt feelings and divorces down the road!
