Profile "No No's?)

After reading the "picky" thread, I was curious about what other people might see in a profile that would cause them to rule someone out as a romantic interest. Not in an initial email, but the profile itself. You know...you get an email, you check out the profile and then think...."erm....no."

Red flags for me are:

**"living with parents"

**"separated"

**over an hour's drive away

**a profile full of phrases like "be honest with me, because I've been lied to by women enough in my life," or "I want a woman who won't cheat on me like my ex did"

**negative remarks about past relationships

**too much bragging about how much money they earn or too much whining about how little money they earn

**generic b.s. like "I'm a romantic who likes long walks on the beach and candlelight dinners"

Or, am I the only one who really looks at profiles?

red flags? not that many, "short, blonde, duh or its many variations! LOL duh is not limited to blonds!, actually, short is the first one i look at, if i am to endure another woman she will make me smile by puting her nose up against mine w/o the aid of milkcrates! or those very tall shoes! LOL

Well, I'm not looking for a romantic interest, but if I were, one of the things that causes me to stop reading a profile is the over-extolling of their own virtues.
It's the internet. We're all "wonderful, caring, compassionate, understanding, and enjoy long walks on the beach and romantic candle lit dinners, as well as curling up on the couch and watching a movie and spending time with the one we are with" yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah. I just sit here and say to myself, I see your mouth moving but all I'm hearing is blah blah blah.

The way I see it, we're all someone's "ex" for a reason. If we were to question all of our ex's I'm sure they'd have plenty of things to point out that were not "quite right" with US. No one is perfect.

Ok. Basic "no-no's" for ME (notice I am not saying for EVERYONE or even remotely hinting that I am making a GENERALIZATION!!!)

Too much info regarding past relationships
Too much info regarding their children (naming names etc.......dangerous IMO)
Not enough REAL info about what they like
Too much info about how romantic they are etc etc
Nasty comments
Too much info about their sex lives....(as if I care)
Living with parents is a turn off
Unemployed
Seperated
Living on a different continent (I don't fly, so unless they're coming here, we won't work)

Well, I guess I am pickier than I thought huh?? Especially for someone who isn't looking for anyone......lol

Sorry. I was over in that other forum getting my giggles for the day!! They're really too funny!!

Anywho's...........Meet in the middle?? But I don't want a relationship!!!!!!

Soon as I find someone exactly like me I might change my mind though. (hopefully people will see that as the joke it was intended to be.)

Oh yea!! Another thing that stops me from reading ALL of a person's profile.. The "size" thing. If they're looking for slender/slim/petite/average I know that I am not what they are looking for (accept that) and move on.

My caveats are:

Smoking, "My grand kids my life", if they sound to be self centered, if they want it 'all', searching for something that they missed in their marriage, if they seem to be materialistic and/or superficial.

I'm sure the grand kids are adoreable but if they're your life where would I fit in?..Between 10: PM and 5:AM?

'Want it all'?.....I'm a simple average guy...That would leave me out...

If any body is reading this, I want a lady who has the 'intangibles...The tangibles can be bought in a store.
