just thing they may never find the right man? I mean I am pretty content with my life and it will take someone really special for me to consider a relationship. I guess if love comes along it does. I just DON'T ever see it happening at this point. Where ARE all the good guys?

I have a high degree of confidence that I will never find "the right" man...but since I'm not looking for one man for the rest of my life, that's fine. I have a somewhat less high, but still rather high, degree of confidence that I won't find anyone, either in the short or long-term futures, I would really like to have a meaningful relationship with.
So, I'm with you on that one.....

Well, with an attitude like this, I have a high degree of confidence you won't either, sad to say. I can say one thing however, you won't find me sitting around waiting for anyone. I've got a life and am busy going for it. If someone doesn't want to come along and join me, it's their problem, not mine. 
Or am I intruding on a girls only talk session here?

I know that I will meet someone when the time is right. (Right now I am pretty busy with life in general and if someone thinks that they can handle my schedule then I have no problem with being with someone, but if not then that is fine.I'm in no rush) I have had offers, but it has to be the right one...the one I click with.I do know that I won't be alone for a long time though.
If you sit around thinking that you aren't ever going to meet anyone, chances are that you won't. It does take a little bit of effort to enjoy life and find someone.

I agree... You better learn how to use that whip cream on yourself.. Self Reliance..
When I read through the first couple post ..I had one thought "the thread should be call Cold Case Files" and one instinct..Run like hell... :)

Lol....YOU DON'T LIKE MY PROFILE??? I am absolutely shocked and dismayed. I didn't say "nobody writes me, nobody wants me, i am soooo lonely and desperate" ......In fact, I get an amazing amount of mail COMPLIMENTING my profile for telling it like it is and being so honest!! Not to mention how many say it's one of the funniest things they've read here. It is intended to be FUNNY you know.

Blueeyes I would have to disagee. Not all the good men are taken. But if you go after a guy that has been emotionally scarred recently then you are right they won't be right because they are on the defensive. This is only natural.

Okay, back to reality. I was simply trying to connect with some WOMEN here who might relate to what I was saying. I am not looking for the love of my life on this site and that is why "friendship" is checked. There are many other ways to meet people. Many people appreciate the sarcasm in my profile, and if you don't, then so be it, but, if you want' to label me, I will surely have a comment back, so let's just drop it. I'm not here to defend myself, was just trying to have a conversation. I know many great guys who appreciate me and are very interested in me, I am just wondering if I will ever find that true love, that deep connection, that soul mate that people talk about. I don't want to settle anymore.

Waiting, it's the more intelligent people that see the truth and humor in your profile. And yea, it's funny how people are assuming we're cold, desperate, and basically harpies.
For everyone else who's categorizing me as a "man repellant"...I think it likely that I'll be alone because it's a rare man that I find myself interested in, certainly not for lack of offers. But these people are confusing desire for need and desperation.
