Worth the time and effort in using them would be my guess.
There is really only one other site I know of that is 100% free that is considered a dating site, though there are ways to search users' profiles for free out there that aren't necessarily on dating sites.

The best free one would be the one that writes YOU a check for visiting and participating on it. I can't seem to find one yet.
If you happen to be talking about dating websites, same answer applies as above, but since I can't find one of those either then I will have to say "this one" seems to be the best.
The promo check is in the mail? Probably not.

Maybe that's why here...the number of members online hovers at 1000 while matchdotcom has 100's of thousands.

Been like this all my life. I always route for the underdog and defend the guy wearing glasses...just the way I am...along with dating chicks in their mid-late 20's to early-mid 30's...just something I've always done....hard to change at my age

It seemed to me that Mingles had had the same troll problem MD had at the time, and were just overly suspicious of any new poster because of it.

I miss the "old" Mingles.
I went all the way to Montreal, Canada to meet a bunch of them several years ago, maybe 2000? 2001? Something like that. What a hoot.
Whenever I pop my head in over there now, it's completely different. I've heard complaints here about these boards being moderated, but Mingles is a perfect example of what happens when boards AREN'T moderated.
