I've been thinking it's kinda weird and strange, to try and meet someone on the internet, mostly because there just not there, I would like to meet someone I can walk beside and touch. But all I get is a bunch of e-mails from people that live far away. I'm looking for a serious relationship, can anyone help with this? I live in Mesquite Nv.

Many people meet and develop long term relationships through the internet these days. Have you done local searches, and sent out mail yourself? No offense, but you do need to check the spelling on your profile, and explain who the woman is in the pics. ;)

Now go make 10 really good, sensible forum posts.......then stop posting. Otherwise you will type things like your last post that make you sound suspicious.

I've never actually met anyone from this site in person. I'm to short, to old, to clean cut, bad pics and have an undesirable profile. I'm gonna bonk myself! But I have managed to talk with some very nice people here. Opps. Had to make a correction. Plus I forgot to mention my bad spelling and grammer.

I have been internet dating for almost 6 years (not exclusively though) and have met some very nice guys, a couple were total jerks and that "relationship" ended on our first date. As far as a serious relationship, I have had 2. One was a guy from NC who introduced me to riding motorcycles, a sport that I still love. We were in the talking stages of building a house together but I got cold feet. We kinda drifted apart after that. The other relationship was someone I met here in FL on MD. He was 12 years older than me, very nice but again he wanted to put a ring on my finger so I bolted. I was married for 30 years and I've been on my own for 8 yrs., I guess I prefer my freedom over the thought of giving it up.

Most certainly. For those that are busy the Internet is the an ideal tool. One is able to meet other like minded that are seeking the same things. If it's a long term commitment or a simple rendezvous every week or even every month it's all available right here on the Internet.
I have continued to "date" a few that I met back in 1996 and yes we still are rendezvous "friends." It's been said "one cannot have too many friends." New friends - old friends, a definition of a relationship is what ever is agreeable to those involved.

I have, but it wasn't through a dating site or a chatroom or anything.
He actually turned out to be the first man I ever really loved. We were about 6 hours apart, driving, and we visited each other whenever we could. But I think the timing was wrong, and the distance made it hard and we fell apart. I can still say that to this day I love him, but it just wasn't meant to work out. But still, yes to your question.

I have met and dated local guys through this forum. The relationships didn't last but we are still very close friends. I have made many friends on this site in the last 3 years and in other venues as well. It's a nice way to meet people I may not normally get a chance to meet since I am not a club or bar person.

I have met some great guys online, including the one I am seeing now... and it's been great, even if we don't get to see each other as often as we like. But so far so good...and this is someone I would never have met if we hadn't been on the same site looking for the same things, as far as I'm concerned internet dating kicks butt
