I'm split, on the one hand it could show confidence, on the other...I totally can't sing.
And of course I'd never insist that someone else subject themselves to karaoke if they didn't want to. That's just rude.

Lol, again, I sing like crap; I can pull off a passable cover of The Doors or Johnny Cash but that's about it. Is it the actual singing or the fact that you're willing to even give it a go?
And is "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' " usable, lol?

Karaoke is fun, but you won't see me drinking too much alcohol. I rarely drink these days.

I have karaoked on a first date .. but it was a date by mutual decision. For those who do not feel comfortable getting up to that mic , its still fun listening to everyone , good and bad singers alike. The cool thing about karaoke it does not matter , its all about having a good time.

It's all about having fun and being yourself I think... If you both like karaoke, then go for it.

I think it is a great test on how much you love eachother. Heck it is a chance for both of you to see how stupid, good, bad sounding or good, etc. If neither one of you care either way and still love eachother Hey! You may be a match. I'm looking for a gal that when I play as silly as I want and still love me.

If you can survive a night of Karaoke you can survive anything together.

It can work. I got a date with a gal one time in a nightclub by taking the mic and walking over to her table and singing her a song. It was not karaoke though, but a live band behind me. I did Help Me Make It Thru The Night, and apparently she liked it because we were together the next night.
