How long have you been single?

I was just wondering how long some here have been single ?
I've been on a few dates here and there but I haven't been in a serious relationship in just over 4 yrs.
Of course my goal wasn't to be single for the long.. So far it's just worked out that way..

I've been single for a little over two months but I hope that changes very soon...I am talking to someone right now and I hope she likes me as much as I like her. So we'll see how that turns out.

Personally, i've been single for four years. No dates, no relationships...Needed the time to work on getting myself ready to accept the person I needed in my life, and needed to be the person they needed in their life at the same time.
I think I've reached that point, and this site is my first attempt to try and find that person.

Believe it or not (doesn't matter either way) never done it, and never paid for it either. With all the things out there that AJAX won't get off, never seemed worth it to me...
It's all about mind over matter, grasshopper...(I just hope nobody looks when the wind blows)

Single since June 20th of this year.

lets see...
Almost 2 years this time. I go out on the random date but no relationships.
I have found when I try, nothing happens. when I give up and just get out there and enjoy being alive...WHAM..there she is.
I've gone as long as 3 years and as short as 3 days. Doesn't really matter how long as long as you are happy in life. It will happen when it happens, forcing it doesn't always work.

It's the strangest thing. When I was all broken up and really not ready for anything I was almost irresistable.
X's friends would call see if I needed anything. Strangers would offer me insta dirty.
Now I feel pretty good, but don't think I could get them to throw poo at me.

Well I am not really single, because I'm still "legally married" but he left about 7.5 months ago, although I am probly better off single for awhile, less headaches lol.

Yes I am probly better of single right now lol. Trust me no one is stupid enough to want to put up with me this time of year, cause I'm crabby, snow, cold, holidays, and working on my finals for school.

I have been single since January of 2003 when my husband died. It took me some time to adjust to being single because I have been married for most of my adult life. I did not date anyone for two years after Sonny died. I just was not ready and I knew that. I needed the time to adjust and to help my children adjust to the loss of their father as well. However, in the last year, I have gone out with a couple of men but I have not been in any sort of serious relationship with either one of them. We are friends and that is all I can offer right now to anyone. I don't rule out a serious relationship and if it happens, great! But, if it does not happen, that is okay too. I have gotten used to being single and I know that I will be fine.

You sound like you're doing alright Deb.
I lost my girl to pancreatic cancer in 2001 and it's a horrible thing but it's also a great learning experience. I think it's made me stronger and made me a better person.
The first year was rough but time does heal all wounds.
