You know how when you email someone and send it, then a page pops up showing the ppl that live around that person? What's up with that? When a man emails me, the last thing I want is for him to see all the pretty women that live around me, so he can email them too!

I've seen lots and lots of people whining that they live in a remote area and there is no one within "dating" distance (whatever that may be). Maybe this is a subtle hint to them....you're writing to this person - look, there are others there too, so quit your bitching?!?!?!?!?! Just a thought!

I love the pop up page...I email some of those, too. 
I would think the main reason for that feature, is to increase profile exposure and email responses?

The motivation behind this thread was mostly for a laugh, so... 's all good. 
Altho I'd love to hear from a mod on MD's motivation for this page.

I have to share a story that relates to this topic ( and NO, it's not the reason I started this thread). I was emailing back and forth with a guy from here which progressed to chatting in IM's. He lived thousands of miles away from me. Suddenly the emails and chats ended. Soon after, I noticed there was a woman from MD that lived in my city that was on his friends list that wasn't there before.
Kinda makes ya go ...HMMMMMMMMM
Or maybe he's just fascinated with us northern calif. women!
Edited to add, now that I think about it, she showed up on his list before he stopped communicating with me, so maybe he just likes more then one in this port.

I find this feature most annoying as well...allthough...
I like to see who else is in my area or the area I am currently emailing to...I like variety....
Just not sure I like it vice versa...lol..don't want the "other half" to see the competition....
