what do you think of older women dating younger men... would you date a younger man and if not why? or have you dated a younger man? and to the guys do you prefer older women and if so why?
what is the age limit you have. i think there are younger men that are immature but there are also older men that are immature,so i dont think it is all about age. but tend to not go below a 10 year gap,and i do love older men they just have a confidence and wiseness about them most younger men do not have,i am not saying that there are no younger men like that but they are harder to find.

Several years ago, I dated 2 guys at separate times that were 10 years younger than I. They were real wienies when it came to responsibility. Coulda just been them-coulda been the age.
I definitely think it's more the maturity level, than the age.

I've dated both younger and older men - and I suppose when both are sort of in the middle years the age difference isn't that significant. But as you age, just as when you're quite young, the differences can be destructive. Frankly, I do prefer to date somewhat younger men, if only because I believe I'm aging well and am not ready to take that slow boat to wherever. Reality says that we live longer than men, and I've already buried three I loved (and no, none were old - the youngest was 26, and both of the others were in their 50s). But you have to be realistic - and since the older man/younger woman thing seems so acceptable, just finding an interesting partner who doesn't have at least one foot in the grave and isn't chasing a skirt young enough to be his daughter is rough after 60.

I would not date a guy younger then myself. I don't even like guys my own age. I use to think that was because they are immature and don't know what they want but as time has gone by I have learned that some older men have that problem too. But its still my personal preference to go for older men and will probly always be like that. I don't see anything wrong with older woman/younger man if thats what your into then go for it!

If I were to date any younger than myself, I'd be robbing the cradle.
Young men are somewhat immature. I like men that are at least 30 or older....but then I have met some very mature 20yr. olds.
Plus older men tend to take their time...

When I was younger I liked to date older women. Now that I am older I like to date younger women. So, for me, on the other side of the equation, there was definitely an attraction to older women when I was younger.
And it's clear there are still a lot of younger guys that are attracted to older women.

I prefer a lady who is close to my age or maybe a little older because older women aren't the types that want to rush or just up and jump into a relationship right off the bat moreless. So to any woman close to my age or older all I have to say to you is

I always ask myself this question...
Is love so easy to come by, and life so long, that you can afford to let things like age, religion or racial differences keep you from finding it?
I answer that for myself with a "No."

Ten years either way is sort of my limit...that said, I guess the RIGHT guy could change my mind.
I did have a 42 y/o who really wanted to date me...we had known each other as friends when I was married and he was dating....all 4 of us rode motorcycles. I told him I would need more face-to-face time.
Well we spent two days running around together on the bikes, had a great time but when we'd stop and go into restaurants, etc., I felt like his mother. Oh, btw, my son is 40.

I would have no objection, other than the fact that I am already taken.
Added later...
LGQ ... if I was not in a relationship, you would not have had to work very hard at accomplishing just that

I will admit I have dated younger......They are the ones who seem to be the most motivated to take some risks.....and not let distance be a factor.

I too have dated both younger and older. I don't really have limits on age for dating (other than being of legal age), but for a real relationship, I have found that trying to have a relationship with a woman that is more than five years older or ten years younger than me, just does not work. The thing is that people typically have more in common, with others that are at or near their own age. You need common ground for a real relationship. Oh, you can have fun and be friends with people who are outside of your age group, but it is rare that you will find someone with whom you are truly compatible that is substantially older or younger than you.

I dated a guy 15 years younger than me when I was 37...we had a lot of fun, got along well, and that was about where it ended; we really didn't have anything in common for a true, lasting relationship. My son is currently dating a woman 24 years older than him (and 4 years older than me)...

I spent the majority of my early adult years in relationships with men 10 years older than me but after a solid break from ANY kind of "romantic relationship", as I opened back up to such a thing, I found my Self more comfortable with men my age or younger.
Currently, about a year younger seems to be ideal.

I like to date women that much older then me and Im 19 ill be 20 in april. Being out of school has given me a better understanding that older women for the most part are not as immature as most younger women.
