Lets see if I can take a swing at the first question and then I'll tell ya how I prosed to my ex whore.
I've met the love of my life and we've both decided to take the next step yet she's old fashioned and is waiting for me to pop the question. I think I would wait for a very special occasion. Let's say Christmas day. I would obviously buy the ring in advance and wrap it up like a gift and when she opened it I would put it on her hand and confess my un-dying love for her and ask her to marry me.
As for how I proposed to my ex fiance'. I took her to a red lobster and did the whole getting down on one knee and I asked her to marry me....I don't really know if I was ever serious about marrying her or not cause I never really felt like she was the one so I never took the next step.

I think a moonlit boatride proposal would be nice.
I never proposed to my ex wife, she just started planning a wedding and I was along for the ride.

I was engage once but how it happen was not how I wanted. Not really worth going into details( no it wan't a shotgun proposal) It was just aukard in the sense that it took two tries. The first time was expected but she changed her mind and rejected it. (that was a mess) A few year passed before the second time and it was sort of brought up in passing.
I don't know how I would propose next time. However its done.. It will come from the heart and she will have no doubt as to how much love I have for her and how much I want her as part my life and mine to hers.

That last one was so romantic I just melted off my chair. I think it was "negotiations" that did it.

oh, it gets better! if negotiations work out the marriage license medical exam is set up to be a "shared" experience!

I got proposed to in a cemetary! Neither of us were goth or anything like that, but we often walked there because it was quiet and peaceful, so he asked me under a big live oak tree, a few rows down from where my papaw and other family are buried. The most romantic moment of my life...too bad it turned into the relationship from hell.
Hey, maybe there's a coincidence there...

The last time I proposed, I said to my proposee, in a very confident tone of voice "Will you marry me?" She looked at me and said "Are you crazy?"!! She knew me so well!
Maybe I should work on some new material!
