I have a question for you. Do you think it's a good idea to have a woman give a guy a gift to show that she is interested? Or do you think if a woman does that it scares the guy away?

No I don't for the simple reason that if you buy that person a gift then they may feel obligated to date you. You don't want to think that the guy just went out with you because you bought them something.

Hey, if a guy can't tell you're interested by the way
you look at him then he won't be swayed by a gift...

There is also the opposite extreme from what taboo says...What about if they're only there for what you can give them in the future?
I say no gifts before you're dating...Jusy MO, though

Dont do it. Someone did that to me once on the second "date" and it made me feel really wierd. She was nice and everything, but I don't think it's appropriate unless you're in a relationship already.

i agree with above NO's....
most of the time gifts are a form of manipulation at some level.... to
if you appreciate someone's words or actions make a clear statement to that and see what response is....and, if you give a gift at a later time make it something you both can share.. ..then, give a car or vacation to paris!..

Paris sounds great! One simple option would be to ask the guy out if you are interested!
