Im going to be 30 next month and I would like to know what everyone thinks about someone my age dating someone younger.(but not to young over 18)

Younger is fine if it works for you. When I was 29 I had a 19 year old girlfriend and was suprised myself at how well things went. She was mature and intelligent so it worked well. I wouldn't have dated her if she behaved like her friends.

As long as he doesn't send you to prison for aggravated sexual assault of a minor then it doesn't matter what age he is as long as he likes you and you like him...Be warned though..Men refuse to grow up as it is and I imagine he has alot of wild oats to sew still...Just a heads up for ya there.

A number of the women I knew in their twenties, dated older guys in their 30s. Now that they are thirty, they are dating "relatively younger" guys, i.e. around their own age.

Most have at least considered dating someone younger (a person outside the standard age range.) I'm 38 so anyone under 30 might be considered outside the range..
With few exception age is factor..Especially when you want to take it to a serious relationship level...
It just something you have to be aware of...
But then the question only pertained to datings.. so I say have fun and enjoy..
Plus you never know, a friend of mine at work is 29 and has been happily married for several years to his wife of 45.

I guess some of you are right if you date younger they might be a little immature. I've date guys in their early twenties, and they were a littl immature.

I think you would be surprised by how many guys in their early and mid 20's could be a good match for an older woman. There are many nice guys out there that are single well into their 20's because a lot of younger women tend to make bad choices and stick to guys who don't treat them right. I am well aware that there are plenty of immature guys out there who can't handle it, but there are more out there who can handle a more mature woman than people realize.

li8lyv14, weren't you the same one posting in the age thread about how wrong it was for men to date younger women? What's the difference between a man dating younger or a woman dating younger? Or did I misunderstand something somewhere?

Ther are reasons why males and/or females seek younger lovers.
IMHO, males instinctively find younger females attractive because in the persuit of sex, procreation is the basic motivation....A younger woman is at the age to carry and nurture young.....females seek younger males for the pure sex of it.
Normally, females seek someone who is just a few years older. He is mature, established, knows how to protect the female and her young yet he is young enough to stay with her during the raisisng of the young.
