Is it a big deal to anyone to be single, on a day to "pledge your love" to someone?
Feel left out of the love pool?
Happy that theres so much chocolate on sale?
Is it just another day, nothing special?

no big deal-  not any more- i just miss the candy and the roses  i would rather stay single and be miserable than to be married and wish i were dead!!!!

Up until the last few years, it was just another day. Then Tim came along and made it a special day. Now, being alone, it is back to just another day. I do however take the time to once again tell everyone I love that I love them.
Other than that,its a great time to buy chocolate!

Back to the subject at hand ... I have been single on Valentines for so long it doesn't matter anymore. Some years I think it would be nice to get flowers or a special phone call. This year, I am so single I scare myself  but am very comfortable with that! Oh yeah, and I usually wear black on purpose!!

I've ALWAYS been "single" on Valentine's Day...even when I was married or kind of in a relationship.  (timing/circumstances  ...and the kind of guy/s who had other good qualities, just not 'demonstrative' ~sigh~)
I learned to accept, many MANY years ago, that the very best feature of the "holiday" -- to ME -- has been the fact that all the unsold CHOCOLATE is half price the day after 
(And while I think it'd be kinda cool to have a Valentine to share with in the "traditional/romantic" way -- someday or just once -- I really do enjoy seeing other people celebrating in their special ways )

I'd say it's gonna be a big deal for me this year. First Valentine's day alone in 4 years. I'm kind of dreading it, but hell, more candy for me. (Although I don't think the lingerie I was gonna give her is my size.)

DR....if there's the slightest possibility of you trying on the lingerie, you might do that BEFORE eating all the candy!!!!

There's TWO weeks to go.....don't give up !!!!!!!!! I have also found if you can find some small little thing or things- something VERY inexpesive, to carry around, you can really make someones (any womans) day by surprising them. And usually it is a great conversation starter....Kinda takes your mind off being alone, and makes you feel good making others smile..........
