 Cut on the alarm, plop down on the floor, and gab and laugh, compare lives and laugh, exchange horror stories and laugh, talk about books and karma and love and hate, and wait for the hunky firemen to rescue us. Doesn't sound too bad at all.

I know you said this was fairly self explanatory but it's really not, to me That is, I understand that I'm trapped in an elevator but not what "with the one above you" means? You mean someone who lives or works on the next floor or .. what?
