I have been alone for sometime now! I have recently just got custody of my 8 year old daughter plus live in a collage town, not to many woman my age to meet even if I get time too! My question is this, I am single and yes want a woman in the way everyother man does! But I miss the intamacy of just someone to hold, do any other guys out hwere feel the same! To hell with sex, that can come later, but to just have someone to hold, cuddle up to, watch a movie with! or is everything about sex nowdays!!! Man I miss someone to hug on a cold winter night

I don't know if you were just asking guys that question, but I can only say that I can relate to your statements so very well. That is the one thing I miss the most too, just to snuggle

I did understand what you mean Sparky... and I'm kinda wondering the same thing... it seems to me that values have changed a bit... well... not changed... just mixed... and yes... I'd love to have someone to just cuddle up with watch a movie.... fall asleep.... be comfortable with.. unfortunately somehow people are afraid to touch anymore... it all has to be about sex... or at least they think it is... people need to be touched... even if it's just a hand on your shoulder to let you know that someone else is there... it's lonely out here in the world

Intimacy is not just about sex. You can have intense times of intimacy without it being all about the physical aspects. I don't think many people care about intimacy anymore, I think way too many only want the instant gratification of the moment.

No, you're not alone in that at all. There are plenty of women who want to do the same thing it's just that you haven't discovered one yet.
At times, loneliness grabs and squeezes your heart so hard all you can think is you need immediate relief. Hang in there. Someone that wants to snuggle and cuddle will be a person you want to take your time getting to know. You can't just do it with any-old-body. You gotta care.
In the meantime, you might want to invest in a very soft and very warm flannel comforter.
Patience is a virtue. Possess it if you can. It's seldom in a woman, but never in a man.

I agree 100% Summer... for me some of the most satisfying times have been when I was just cuddling, talking softly, laughing at each others silly jokes...all without sexual contact. When you have the genuine intimacy, when the physical side does occur, it will be that much more satisfying and sweet. That's what true closeness is all about

I love the hand holding, sitting and watching TV, all the snuggling I can handle. My husband is the same way. It took me a long time and 2 ex's to find the "one".

I know what you are saying there Buddy. I think it's the age especially towards men with their kids that they raise. Most women by the time they are in their 40's have already raised their kids and dont want another one to raise, know what I mean? From my own experience, most women in their 40's, they do want the closeness but by this time, they already been divorced and are more selective the 2nd time around.
