Why Can't Men & Women Seem to Understand Each Other? 
Are their wants and needs actually that different? Are they really from different planets? Is there really a "War of the Sexes"? Why is there sometimes such a gender-gap and why so many insecurities and uncertainties on both sides as it regards the infamous "L" word, IYO?

According to biologists, our brains are wired very differently. The more research and testing that's done, the more differences they find in what part of our brains are active during different activities and responses to stimuli. One thing my son read to me that we both found interesting was responses to sets of pictures. I don't remember all the pictures, but among heterosexual men, their pupils dilated most when looking at pics of nude women. Who would have imagined that?  I found it most interesting that women of all ages responded most to pictures of mothers with their babies. Pictures of nude men were in second place.

Becky, there really is a scientific explanation for that too. Supposedly men process women's voices in the same part of their brains where they process music. They process men's voices in the same part of the brain that women process both men's and women's voices. They have to work harder to actually listen to a woman's words. It's terrible that they might actually have a biologically based excuse not to hear a word we say, isn't it?

I dunno Candy maybe from hangin around the guys all my life (being ONE of the guys) i too have a hard time LISTENING to women most time all i hear is BLAH BLAH my nails blah blah my hiar blah blah BLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAHHHHH so i tune out ... now guys say sum interesting stuff like blah cars blah sex blah food blah sex ya get my drift yeah??

Nope.........Becky's basically right.......most women are hard-wired to communicate and most men are hard-wired to...........disengage.......and hear "blah, blah, blah" and go about thinking and doing whatever it is their little heart desires.

We're talking 'most' here anyway. I know I can be pretty oblivious at times, and I've known (thankfully) many men who can pick up on the tiniest clues... 
(But ex's are ex's for a reason...)

I don't think men and women are as different as all these so called "experts" want us to believe, with all their crap books. I do think women are more open with their feelings than men. Maybe guys have to open up a litte more once in a while, and.... oh, wait a minute, forget what I just said. We ARE that different!!
