I meet a man in my neigborhood recently who had a mail order bride. They seemed to be very happy together. So it got me thinking if men can order brides over the internet or through the mail women should be able to do the same. (Not that I would ever order a man). I did a search for mail order husbands and only found one or two legitimate looking sites and one spoof site. I hope it was a spoof anyway. So to all the ladys out there would you ever consider ordering a husband? Men feel free to put your 2 cents in as well.

I agree that people aren't property but to be fair the woman that I meet was very happy living in a nice home, learning to drive a new car. Her husban is a nice looking polite man, who had been to russia with busniess before deciding to look into mail order brides. I'm not sure why he felt the need to order a bride except that he said he liked there loyalty and family values. They both seem happy so is it so wrong?

I don't see the difference between 'mail order' and dating site. When you put a profile on a dating site, it's the same thing a placing an order isn't it?

Thats true, and I was just thinking about the boyfriends I've had that I always paid their way and they stayed at home with my kid while I worked. I guess the only real differance in them and a mail order man is that I would go into knowing I know nothing about thewm, instead of figuring out later I know nothing about them. lol

Mail-order boyfriends do have one undeniable advantage over local ones - they can be ...ahem...enjoyed for 3 months introductory period and after that , if you don't feel like actually marrying them , they will be deported across the border. This way there's no chance they might be stalking you after break-up, so no restriction orders would be required... On the other hand - if you are violent alpha -female and are into physically abusing your boyfriends , you'd better stick to local ones . If mail-order guy manages to break his chain and escape - you'll be hold financially responsible for him, no matter if he takes your credit cards with him or not ...

Hmmm somebody say investments? I like that subject!
However with relationships, it has been my experience that they are not financially sound choices. They may have other benefits but they usually cost an arm and a leg! LOL
And Newlife you are so right. You have a 3 month trial period that you can break off the engagement, but if you get married, you are on the hook with the government for 10 years if they go on any type of public assistance.
