What is a good opening message?

I'm not good with the opening message. I've tried to be funny, short and sweet questions, and longer messages with info. Almost always I ask questions. Any ideas on how do write a good one and mabye get more responces? Ladies don't be afraid to leave examples of good ones guys wrote you.

Tj a good opening message will be different for every woman but a good start would be to mention something you read in her profile, comments or blogs that you found interesting.

Just be simple and straight forward. Use something like....
"Hey babe, you're smokin' hot! Can I hit it?"

Asking questions is good, but ask specific questions to a woman showing that you've read her profile. Something like, I noticed that you like to do X, where is your favorite place to do that. (I noticed that you like to ski; where do you like to go skiing. I like to go skiing in Tahoe.) Something to show that you have an interest in her and have read her profile is much better than something generic that you send to everyone you e-mail.

All I know is that I've never written the same sort of thing (or format) twice. It's a "conversation"...everyone is completely DIFFERENT.
