I had this exeperience ..... some weeks ago via MD I wrote an e mail to another woman and she asked my if I was lesbian.....
I have not thought about this possibility ...... 
My aim was just introduce myself and start to compare some ideas with a person who was not a man...
At that time I didn't see "dating forum" button and I read some nice profiles and i sent a general letter
The result was disastrous....obviously my first step was wrong.....now I found out MD forums and it's really better
Anyway....if a woman receives an e mail from a woman....what do you think ?

I have written to women about common interests-work, kids, etc.
And I have received emails from women on same.
I think it's nothing but common ground or friendship unless a female "hits" on another.

Most of the time, I think they are just being friendly.
One time, I received an e-mail here from a woman looking for women. I just sent her a note that she was attractive, but I was not attracted to women, so I was not interested. She wrote back and said fine; we'll just be friends, then.
There is a difference between finding someone attractive and being attracted to them.
But, more importantly, just because a woman sends you an e-mail, that doesn't mean she's interested in you.

Well I've received several emails from women wanting to be more than friends....I don't bother responding. Now if a woman were to email about the things you two have mentioned, I will respond. It doesn't hurt to have friends on here and don't see a problem with emailing.

Maybe I was superficial not thinking that my letter could be misunderstanding
....my words hadn't a double meaning
It was a solitary case but I am interesting on women's thought about this matter

Really? Heck, I write women all the time on here. I have known them for awhile here though.
I have gotten letters from women about my blogs, and I respond too.

I've had women who were looking for other women wink/send messages. I reply very nicely that I'm so straight I could be used as a plumb line.
I also have women who like women and women who like men that we just send messages back and forth... usually talking about men.

Outside of the Russian women scammers, I've never been hit on by a woman. MD does often make me feel like I'm back in high school though...emails flying back and forth about all kinds of stuff.
Mary, I'm still waiting for those naked pics of LJ, yanno...what kind of a DIL-to-be are you, leaving your poor old MIL panting in anticipation???
