What do people think of them?
From experience of being one myself, most people seem to find us unattractive. Red or reddish hair seems to be an instant turn off for the majority.
Or am I just that unattractive? lol

Red or reddish hair seems to be an instant turn off for the majority. Hmmm... If that were the case, I guess they'd stop making all shades of red hair dye cuz nobody would be buying it. Far as I can tell it ain't happening yet.

Maybe it's just a UK thing. All through my life there's been this stereotype that "gingers" are unattractive, and I've never known anyone who wanted their children to be born with red hair. Even my Mum told me the one thing she hoped for before I was born was that I didn't have red hair. I like the colour of my hair, and I don't think it's ginger. Hair dyes are completely different. There are loads of colours out there, doesn't mean that they are attractive. And from what I have seen, people who aren't naturally red look better than natural red heads if they dye it that colour anyway

I think red hair is quite unique, making a person stand out in an often positive way.
Your hair looks great and you are attractive.
It all depends on how well someone takes care of their hair, but that's with any colour.

Thanks Angel.
I'm honestly not looking for compliments or anything like that. I was just discussing it with some people at uni the other day and was interested at some of the stuff that was said, so I thought I'd see what others thought too.

fella, it's not the red hair, if you knew what to do you would not be saying this; you need a make over. right now you fit a least liked stereotype, and will have a severe problem getting laid unless you break out of it.
A female red head does not have to be trendy, they are female...that is enough for us guys. A male red head needs to be king of the game. Why? because you guys are usually the palest of the bunch. women like the tan thing. to combat that wear trendy DARK clothing. get your hair cut in a style. If you can pull off a Hugh Jackman with red hair...you are IN . In your case though, it looks like yours wants to do the teletubbie bounce. fade the sides, change the glasses (defined dark rims), and add gel. the gel makes your hair look wet and darker. gives it a burning fire effect....
Why all that change?
because what she will see is a well dressed guy whose pseydo intellectual glasses hide something, and knows how to keep well groomed. once she inspects the hair ( must be enough up top to curl or have a thick strand fall over on your face) and sees the care put in.....you are in....
don't believe me? ok....
wear cheap sneakers, tan shorts cut before the knees, and a yellow t-shirt that just covers the belt loop, and walk up to a girl with your present hairstyle looking for a date....hell of a visual huh?
pick a look..... or <---a b/w pic of a redhead guy to show ya the hair effect..
any questions?
class dismissed...........

thanks for the image destroying words of encouragement...
i have already changed my glasses to dark ones and my hair is no longer long and "teletubby" like.
but, i'm not looking to simply get laid. i have more respect for myself and girls than to just try and pull a girl for sex. even if i did look like a red haired hugh jackman i wouldn't do it

That was kinda humorous, Sadian, but hey, he's only 23 years old! Doesn't seem like a poseur wanna-be; and unlike some, he HAS hair. Quite nice hair, in fact.
To address the OP: Just be your Self. Red hair is less common and has seen its share of stereotyping so while some may seem to turn up their noses, consider how many turn around and color theirs red? I even did it for a while.
Natural red hair is cool. Revel in it.

Here's the key:
Even my Mum told me the one thing she hoped for before I was born was that I didn't have red hair. You were taught from early childhood that red hair is unattractive. That did wonders to your self esteem.
The truth of the matter is: it's never the hair, or eyes, or height, or whatever... it's ALWAYS self esteem and confidence. If you have low self esteem you can be the best looking guy in the world, but girls generally won't find you that attractive.
Personally, I'm most attracted to pale looking blond or red haired guys with blue/green eyes. That is not to say I can't like tan dark haired men. But as far as what I like the most, people who look like you are it.

Ahhhh youth....LOL
You are on the right track, i will give you that, but every girl has just read that you have no defensive walls and can be easily used. what women hate is that they want it, but the defense is too high, therefore the competition to get to the top. queen of the hill with the hottest guy in town. keep what you just posted on the inside for (that girl) and maintain the defensive front. that front will keep them comming, even if you tell them about it, because status of what no one else can have....is a good thing to women. if you don't, prepare yourself for alot of heartbreaks and questions asked to yourself of "why"
what did I just say to you????
you will have the bad boy, mr sexy, you wish you were mine, image that they want and look for (the make over reason), but able to suprise her with the tender, gentle, loving man that she needs (the reason for only letting 'that one' see you without the walls).
Have fun....end of lesson.....

I too...am a redhead, although a bit darker than yours. It's all about personality jonny. I think that was an attempt at humor anyway, take very little of what's said on here as serious.
I'm incredibly handsome, cute and considered to be all that and a bag of Doritos, regardless of what color my hair is. The fact that I'm a retard prevented me in younger years from finding suitable young ladies.....then when I reached about 7, things changed and I had to beat them off with a stick.
Now....I got her..the red hair got her, made her weak in the knees.

Eventually you will quit hating Mary, getting the girl in the sack is the easy part. Finding "that" girl due to her qualities, reactions, honesty, fun, the love she gives, etc....is the hard part.
plus, pimpology 101 is a beginners course. I stopped teaching that years ago. I have moved up to agressive, defensive, household stance aka...."the life partner." rough course....

Well, many of us who are bored with being brunettes just have too much red in our hair to do a lot else with it...it's sort of the best of both worlds....
