Why do men insist on using Yahoo Messenger?

This inquiring mind wants to know -- What is the big deal with Yahoo??
I have had so many men on here that want to contact me outside of MD but when I tell them that I can not use Yahoo Messenger on my laptop with AOL they get pissed off.
I don’t see any difference between AOL and Yahoo except that I get all this spyware, adware and viruses from trying to use yahoo so why do men insist on using it?

I dislike Yahoo so I won't go there to messenger anyone. If they want to talk, just email me till I think it's time for the phone.

Yahoo isn't that great.
I like AIM because I can have "my info", and it's not a link.
Everyone seems to use MSN and Yahoo, though....and I can't really see why.

Scammers like Yahoo because it's anonymous and they don't require any real verification of who the user is. You can sign up for a Yahoo account with any kind of bogus info you like.

once upon a time
(or Back in da day)
there weren't very many choices...
so I started using Yahoo Messenger...
(it use to fit on a Floppy)
soon after it seemed Like they came out with a new Messenger every other day...
at some point I decided I didn't want 20 different Messengers...
(that was back before Trillion ect)
so I decided to pick one,
since the where all pretty much the same...
I went with the one I knew best.

have three of the major messengers aol yahoo and msn same name every where too..same as here ... not hard to find me sometimes that is a good thing sometimes not

in the past and other "paysites," you know the ones that grls don't pay and the men do, i used to send my yahoo addy/messenger info so if they were interested they could contact me.
some sites have there own messengers but if you log on to use it or it shows you online, you get more spam from other countries. that and grls that log on "get so many hits" that they leave quickly because no one they are interested in emails or im's them.
now we don't have those problems here and i have no idea as to why it continues, maybe old habits die hard.
oh and i have more info on my yahoo profile than i have on here, go figure why i haven't deleted that also. guess it's for friends that trust me to be me.

GB - Google does have a chat program, but it is only for google email users. If you and I are online I can chat with you till the frogs lose their legs. If you sign off while chatting you will get an email of me replying to you.

I like to use Yahoo Messenger, but I only give out my screen name to someone that I've come to know. It's a good way to get to know someone better....one on one.

I've often wanted to ask the same question. What's the big deal with Yahoo? Why do most women insist on going on Yahoo Messenger? And get upset with you if you don't?
I don't get the importance of it. I don't even have Yahoo IM installed.
