Why do men insist on using Yahoo Messenger?

 YooHoo or is it YaHoo -- where is everyone -- mmmmm -- still trying to understand why men insist on using Yahoo messenger -- so far non of the reasoning here has made much sense to me.

Grumble -- I go through phases where I get tired of being alone and start looking again just to be disappointed, so I go back into hibernation.
I prefer AOL basically because I like it, it is easier than Yahoo for me and now has all the same features except the little emoticons - which to me are more of a distraction when chatting then helpful. AOL is quicker and you can see that the other person is responding even if you are doing something else.

What was the original question again? I kinda got lost somewhere...
I like talking to people on yahoo before I get to know them. I don't like talking on the phone because sometimes you just don't know what to say...especially if the connection is bad....you sit there and go Huh,what did you say...uhhh can you repeat that and all that other stuff....*sigh*

I guess the thread here is closed -- to each their own in messenger as well as people you want to contact and hold as friends or potential mates/lovers and whether you are comfortable with ---
Talking in a chat room - which I am –
Using a messenger - yes I am on AOL - because that is what I have
Or on the phone – sometimes but not all the time – there are just some that are plain jerks and never get my numbers
That goes for people I consider worthy of being my friend, there are just some that I would never in a million years want in my corner defending my back
To me friends are people who you agree with and like their view point and their actions towards others –to me that says a lot about a person – the way they deal with others not just those who agree with them or who they agree with or their friends – but how they deal with others who oppose them, that is the true mark of a persons worth to me.
And before the comments start flying - I know that I have fallen very short of this lately with one particular person -- but now I love her and can't wait for her very presence in my threads she is such an added sweetness that I can not tell you how much it means to me for her to grace my puny attempts at forging into her domain -- the forums. She is my queen  (ole wise one) and she knows who she is.  
I guess for me my question has been answered and I will turn this over to who ever wants to keep it going or it can die for all I care -- I won't be checking back again.
Have fun and be happy above all things and treat others as you would have them treat you --- with respect of their individuality that they deserve which is very hard when they are immature – but still please try.
