I was wondering, when you guys do a search, what's the amount of people that turn up in your area?
When I do it, within 50 miles...I get about only a handful of "active" profiles the rest of the 4 pages , they haven't logged in since the cows come home. lol. (It's not MD's fault, that's just how it is)
half of the recent ones are fake ads from women in other countries that always have "dreamed" of coming to the USA. lol

I use 30 miles and come up with 240, but I use a 20 year range for the search, and obviously looking for men rather than women. Just for grins and giggles I did the same looking for women and came up with 216.

If I put in ages 30-40 in all North Carolina I get 42 pages. That's without any other restrictions. If I put within 50 miles of Greensboro I get 13 pages. But only 1 page is of people active within the last week.

Not many active withinn a week in my area. I get a lot more if I include Montreal in the seach. This is one of the smaller sites - but it's FREE!

Just for the record here, I don't know how long I've actually been on MD - it was only when I got an email notification that I'd gotten an email on MD (I didn't even remember joining the site) that I logged in and looked around and found the forums.
Even if they haven't been active recently, if they look interesting, shoot them an email...ya never know. Worst case, they're taken, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I just did a 30 mile search within a 20 year age difference.   Its up to 22 now! And I live within 5 miles of Purdue! Fat girl ain't gotta chance in hell here. Good thing I'm not lookin.

Fat can be lost Luv, weird like me aint gonna go away. I won't change my belief system so I am probably going to stay alone all my life. Geez. I run 'em off if they don't believe like I do. Too challenging to be in a relationship if one person actively is working on awareness and consciousness and the other isn't. It is pure hell.

50 miles, 10 years younger than me to age 99, NO restrictions or limitations except photos gets me 45 profiles with 14 active sometimes within the last two months.
Imagine what I get when I put non-smoker and a couple of other personal preferences. So, that's why I search within 500 miles....and sometimes further out than that!
