I am just curious here, do you guys find a woman sexy who is really tan in the middle of winter or does it kind of clash with the season...also...tan lines or no tan lines?

I will confess that i have taken up the fake bake recently, because skirt and dress season is fastly around the corner and yeah pasty legs are not sexy! I am the kind of person who does not tan easily. However I work with a girl who tans year round and is soooo fricken dark and orange looking it is nasty, not to mention she looks like leather and is only in her 20s.

who says white skin's not sexy? I do not feel sexy with pale skin, I feel pasty and look much better with a little color to my face. What some people tan in a weekend at the beach takes me all season to do.

I'd like to be more tan, but not at the expense of my health. I'd rather be pale than have skin cancer. I stopped doing the tanning bed thing.

I wear Dove slightly tanning moisturiser for slight sun kissed look in winter ....
Sun beds are no necessary and age the skin..... moisture and colour easy and safe

Clear white skin is much more attractive than tan scarred skin from the cancers. My brother used to sit out in his boat all day fishing in the sun. And now, 25 years later he's periodically going to the dermatologist to have skin cancers removed from his hands and arms...several already. I might glow in the dark from being so white...but I plan on keeping it that way.

i kind of like my paleness As do I mine. I had entirely too much sun in my teens and early 20's and I'm not looking to add any more damage!

I do not feel sexy with pale skin.... How do you spell "l-e-m-m-i-n-g"?
That's your ego buying into what the media sells you. There's money to be made from convincing people tanned skin is sexier; it's a whole business unto itself.
And while you are causing permanent damage to your skin and dramatically raising the probability of skin cancer, the business owners involved, from Madison Avenue to the plastic surgeons waiting for your visits to begin 20 years from now, are laughing all the way to the bank.
If you are one of the unfortunates who end up with malignant melanoma and later die from it, don't expect them to be sending flowers to your funeral.

I like being tanned but then again I was a June baby and love the summer! I tan the natural way tho, by using sun screen while I'm doing water aerobics in the summer.

Well, living entails risks. I don't do tanning beds but I do spend as much time outside in the sun as I can. It's almost swim season here, today will be mid-80's, tomorrow probably around 90, and my personal favorite is to swim for half an hour or so, then shoot hoops until I dry off. It's not about turning brown though, it's because it feels good...love those endorphins. Using 'sunlight' lamps helps fight SAD, but sun on skin is nature's way of saying 'have a nice day!'.
if I want a browner color faster, I do a spray tan session at the local salon. No tan lines, no streaks and the color looks natural these days.

I did the tanning beds for years, basically because I worked too dang much and I just never could get a moon tan. I now spend at least an hour a day laying in sun april through July...I'm solar powered what? I have never turned "orange"and I never got wrinkles

OK....let the bashing begin!!!!! I don't care 'cause I have thick skin from TANNING YEAR AROUND!!!!
I'm not a fad follower, I have been tanning for over 30 years, long before there were "booths", because I love it. I am very careful of my skin, I use my own concoction to restore emollients. I have no damage, other that time on my body. I am not orange. I am a light golden brown. I could care less who likes or doesn't like it, who likes lines or no lines, nor do I listen to dooms day spouters. I do this for myself., because I like it. I spend every second that I can in the "Real" sun, either in the garden or on the boat. Alas, Michigan doesn't allow that year around...so, I proudly have a first name relationship at my booth of choice. PS. It's a proven fact that it IS good for those that live in colder climes!!!!! Thanks Heaven...

I have very fair skin. I turn red then it turns beige then it goes back to pale. So I'll just stick with my fish-belly white skin. Cheaper, easier and I'm too lazy to get in a tanning bed. I tried it once... Boring!
