Well for me recall. I would go some under but not much over. If I did then I would be dating my mom. And too far under and I would be dating my daughter. Both would be problems for me.

I'm not even sure why it's there. I have 55-65, the guy I'm dating has 40-57. I'm 63 and he's 52 and we're both having a grand old time ignoring our guidelines. People just don't always fall neatly into categories, especially ones based on age.

I have a 15 year age range. I think that's a good range for me. The guy I met is within the age range but toward the bottom end. I have found that guys much older than I am just don't want to do much so I tend to go younger.

I think the age question is meant to be a guideline only...if we are so closed minded to deviation, then we may just miss the dream of our life....but with that being said, i do believe life experience means a great deal, and 2 must have commonalities that can be shared together....

My age preferences are guidelines. I look at the person as a whole not just the age. But I have 20 some year olds wanting to date. That is just to weird and we couldn't have that much in common. I have a 20 year old son and 30 year old son. They have to be older than my oldest and even then I am cautious.

If you ever have a chance, go through the strange emails thread, to some their profile is a contract, what they want, who they are.....carved in stone like bad Flintstone episode, If you don't read line 3 of the third paragraph, that's it, you get put on ignore/delete. And really thats fine, and it seems that is the reason for this thread, because everyone is different

10 years either side I'd say.. Too old and he becomes a father figure, too young and he's like a dependant son.. v< Versa for the guys.

Well mine says 32 - 45.....that means men 55 who send me a message shouldn't be surprised if I don't respond. Same goes for 21 year olds.

I don't really care, it has to be someone that I'm compatible with though, so that rules out the very young and very old. That's why I keep having to turn down all those 20 year old Russian supermodels that keep emailing me.

Age is a virtual number. Enthusiasm, attitude and goals play a much more important roll. I've gone over the 55 mark with impressive results and a few years under the 30 mark. Flexibility with these numbers have worked well.
