So if you have been single for a while...

...and dont have much prospects of meeting anyone, how do some of you keep hopeful and have faith that one day you'll find your match and have a happy, loving and faithful relationship? I have been having a difficult time with this, so I'm just curious on other peoples views and thoughts.

Being happy with myself made the pain of loneliness seem pretty insignificant. I did worry about spending the rest of my life alone but it just didn't seem like such a bad thing.

Yeah I know...See, I was content for the past year. Then I dated someone for a month and realized what I was missing. So now it's a bit tougher to just be content you know? I did make an awesome friend out of the whole thing though.

^^^^^^^^^^^ Exactly. Enjoy your life, work at being the person YOU want to be and I think your odds improve at finding someone you want (cuz in the process of becoming such a person youself, you have a better idea of what you really value).

Trust me I know what I want and value. I have goals and I am working hard to achieve them as well. I dont think theres anything wrong with the idea of having a companion.

 Rocco. Single is not what it's all cracked up to be. As far as I'm concerned, what keeps me going is knowing who I am and what I do have to offer the special person that comes into my life. I have and I'm going to have set backs and it takes time to heal but once I have, I'm open again to it. If I don't try, I won't succeed. I also realized when you aren't searching is when the opportunity is there. Chin up and trust in yourself that you are worth the wait.

Yeah very true. I definitely dont go out searching, however, if I am out, and see someone I am interested in meeting, I dont hesitate to spark up a conversation, at the very least.

I haven't given up hope that someone will come along for me, I'm just not actively looking right now.

Being single beats the hell out of what I was married to.
My marriage ended with me ODing and experience the "charcoal milkshake". 
I've dated here and there, but chasing chicks ain't worth losing my dignity for ever again.

I just came to the conclusion that women in general were created in the bowels of hell, spawned from the pit of despair and sent to the surface to make life a living hell for every man. Once I realized that, everything became quite clearer. I took up knitting, some crocheting and I started to collect stamps. I delved into collecting little boxes and stuff too, little music boxes, jewelry boxes and the like.....until I got one that was like a rubics cube, opened it and every mthrfkn demon Bezelbub ever created came screeching forth like banshees, scouring my flesh with itty bitty knife like teeth...consuming my flesh like a woman consumes credit cards....so I quit that and went back to knitting.
Then one day some biotch from Michigan showed up and fked everything up...Someone placed a curse on my skanky ass and shazam, she's standing there. It was probably that rubic box, I'll be doomed to hell with knitting needles sticking out of my face soon. She made me fall in love with her, did some mumbo jumbo curse shit and I had to say goodbye to the single life.
I'm way fkn screwed now....
Beneath the surface, the beautiful hair, the 20yr old butt and the body of a Victorias Secret model lies something bad.....very bad...I know it...something wicked this way comes....BUT....fk it...what a way to die...
