After a mere 576 days on our beloved Matchdoctor, I finally met someone in person from the site. We met for coffee and chatted for quite some time and he came up with a brilliant idea.

On first meetings, each person receives a "Date Assesment" form. On it, you record your first thoughts and impressions about the other person.

Some questions may include (fill in the blank):

Oh my God! S/he is _______!

Thier picture doesn't do justice to their _______!

His/her personailty is ______!

S/he obviously lied about ______!

At the end of the meeting, each person excahnges assesment forms and rushes to their cars to read them! This removes any awkwardness if either person isn't interestred. You'll never wonder why s/he never called back again!

So, what questions would you include on your "Dating Assesment" form? What would your answers be?

DOH! Double thread alert! Let's hope they delete the mispelled one!

Better yet, I mispelled both of them. I give up!

I honestly don't think it's a brilliant idea

I think adults are able to kindly say "Thank you but no thank you"....This doesn't mean there is no awkwardness in these situations, but I think most people can "cut their losses" and move on.

The idea of each taking this form and rushing to their car to read it at the end of the date just seems silly to me.

The only question I have concerning this dating assessment Di is what was your assessment?

Will there be a second date

Yes they are able to do such, but many don't and it leaves the other clueless.

Often times they say yeah sure lets meet for another date, because they don't want to be the bad guy to their face and then the other person is thinking "YES" he must really interested only to be flattened when that second date doesnt happen.

I think it is kind of a cool idea, however if someone handed ME a questionaire on our first date I would probably run for the hills!

I agree with angel. Don't we have enough forms. There's nothing here that couldn't be said with words or body language....How did the other person make you feel and would you want to see them again
