Well I think most girls like the good guy with a streak of bad or "who could be bad".
I cannot speak for others that time has taught me to steer clear from men who use one liners like "my wife doesn't understand me - but you get me".
I also avoid men who are doing the numbers....the ones that ask anyone out in the hope that they meet "the one". I know a guy who did that - he went right through my circle of friends. A part of me admired is courage - but the thing is none of us felt special and we girls like to feel special on a date.
Then there is the players...the ones that have Very healthy egos. The ones that like to keep several girls on the go at any one time. We can smell it. These men have "player" written on their forehead. They are the ones that make a date and miss it - and make up a far fetched excuse about why he never made it. They are the ones that always have an entourage of women - but get nervous if any of them meet - because they might talk - so they set up one girl against the other.
Most men I have dated have been lovely. We women seem to go for the men who are confident and self assured - but not egotistical or narcasystic (spelling?). Someone who is a self assured achiever at work - who would stop in the street and help a little old lady cross the road.
A cross of tough with gentle. Yum.

I don't think I want a BAD_BOY, I think when i think of that term , it brings to mind, men who will use women, say (Ain't I Cool) , browse the bars, and likes to get in trouble cause it makes them feel manly.. I think I'd rather take a Mature man who is caring and compassionate, but willing to protect all he loves if the need arises,,,likes to have fun in life but doesn't make a (ASS) of himself doing it just to show off to his buds, ,,,and there ain't nothing Bad about that...., just a good, one man woman who has learned, what give and take is , and has one woman only to enjoy the in and outs of each day............

At my age I hope to find someone mature enough that doesn't have to prove he's a "macho dude". And that's what I believe it's all about...maturity, but still has the abillity to have fun.

It certainly varies with each female!
My last boyfriend was a biker, dressed the part, looked like someone you would NOT want to mess with. He doesn't take crap off of anyone. (except me... 
But he has a good heart, bright, articulate.
Even my old-fashioned mom came to know him, his goodness, although the first time she met him, she said "what the heck is that on his head?" (do-rag)
Sometimes it is merely perception, and the truth will be known when 2 people get to know each other!
IMO- we ALL have a little bit of "bad" in us

Not all bad boy types are the men who ride motorcycles, smoke two packs a day, play guitar in a band and have tattoos. Some bad boys are well disguised as the successful attorney, prominent doctor and visionary businessman. But to the well trained eye of a sophisticated woman, he is still simply the bad boy.

I've always believed its an attitude and how someone carries ones self. It's something learned, taught or pretending to be, thats easy to spot and see through. When I say attitude also don't mean acting tough, using slang, loud words, etc.

well said a real bad boy doesn't play that shyt He is aware of His surrounding and confident in who He is.It is something He does not work at He just is .
