Lets just face it.....we've all pulled up a profile at some point and said.......oh yeah right!!! I think Ive even pulled up some profiles with pictures of girls taken from magazines THAT I SUBSCRIBE TO!!!! hahahahaha
Would you rather see something visually pleasing, even if you know its all just a scam?

A fake picture is worse. I mean come on, Paris Hilton looking for love at Matchdoc?

no. i'd rather see the person warts and all.
now of course, when we post our photos we look for really DECENT photos. we dont post the one where we were caught by surprise with the coleslaw hanging out of the corner of our mouths. but i cannot imagine someone thinking that they will get anywhere with a fake pic/old pic. maybe they're not here to get anything but validation, even if its as fake as their pic.

no pic is better than a fake picture. when someone posts a fake picture, you can pretty much count on the whole profile being fake.

If the pic is fake then they are probably married or have something else to hide. Keep on surfing.

Fake pic makes you wonder what else they are trying to hide. If nothing else it smacks of insecurity...and we don't want that now do we?

What about avatar type pics? I don't mind those as much as no pic...at least there's some kind of personality to parse.

Sadly, my Yahoo avatar looks more like me than my actual pic does, but the one I have posted is the most recent on of me I have on the computer. When you drop 20 or 30 lbs and change your hair style and color it can make a big difference in your appearance. But the pic still gives a GENERAL idea of what I look like so I leave it up.

Of course there are fake pic which I hope we all can identify but you know you also have the old pics that people post.. Someone 35 who post his or her college pic..My pic is recent and not fake. I see no point in posting something fake , old or doctored up..
There have been a some women I've meet that look nothing like their pic... Some were further away from reality then others. On the lighter end of extremes perhapm in her pic she has dark short hair. you meet her and she has long blonde hair and maybe 30lbs heavier..That no too far off and can be explained.
But one I met as 29 and I would never have recongnized her, if I didn't ask what she would be wearing..In her pic she was a little bigger then "NORMAL" but when I met her no lie she must of been at least 400lbs minimun.I told her that she looked nothing like her pic. Her response all guys say that...I ask when was that pic taken. Her answer when I was 19.

Oh, but all that airbrushing really turns me on. Fake all the way!
(Besides, if they've got that professional looking fake pic as in a magazine ad it's all the more reason to have fun with them at their expense. Problem is, most who do this don't have the intelligence to know you are doing it. )

I wish that there was a filter or some kind of proof that what is here is what is real, ALL OF IT! But I guess that even normally in life always, that some people appear to be different than they are. Some for the better and some for the worst, unfortunately!
I really hope that I am 100 times better in person than I am in any pic I could send, or in any writing that I express to anyone!
I wish that everyone could be completely honest no matter what in every way! REALLY!

no way - everyone should show their true self - they shouldn't waste people's time will fake pics or silly frivulous pics having nothing to do with what they look like in person - i mean like stupid things like putting smiley faces on their cheeks (facial please) and wearing their underwear on the wrong side out - i mean that's just SO dang frustrating if you ask me - OOPS - nevermind...

No, Sir, I like your pic! That's what I was saying: the only thing I tend to judge from a person's pic is their personality. Certain features, certain pose choices, facial expressions...all that matters so much more to me than hair color or whatever. Your photo illustrates a great part of your personality!
That's why I'd also rather see a digital image of some kind than no pic at all; at least a drawing or clip shows something about the person in question.

Fake pics are a deal breaker. No pic at all is tolerable. This is the first site I've ever posted a pic. I'm generally very insecure and don't want the whole site seeing what I look like. However once someone contacts me I'll send them a pic.
When I meet someone in person though I've heard the same thing several times...
"Your pictures don't do you justice."
That strokes a girl's ego...
