well i learned from past experience you better read the whole post or you might say the wrong thing and sometimes that can be very embarrassing

I generally read the Initial posting . . to understand what the initial Subject was . .
It _Often_ gets mutated over several pages . .
I won't read through Several Hundred pages of yammering, just to post two words . . !!

I read the whole thing..misunderstandings happen when certain posts are overlooked because someone is in too big a hurry to wade through all the post.

It depends on how long the thread is? If a thread only has two or three pages of posts I usually read through them, but if I see 17 pages I'm certainly NOT going to read every page of posts, no matter how scintillating some comments may be...lol. If I respond to something out of context I'm sure I'll be corrected.

i usually read the posts if there aren't in chapter or book form. a few of our prolific writers feel that their method of describing and embellishing should carry over to the forums. if i have to scroll i almost always keep scrolling and of course stop at a ditty LOL perhaps my attention span is short, perhaps i get bored easily. my point is, just make your point without it becoming a work of art.
