Priscilla and Aquila. They are only briefly mentioned in the New Testament, so you have to assume they were boning each other the entire time they were not mentioned.

I was thinking about that. They are second, but Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth will always be wrestling's greatest couple.

I was just thinking of Tiny Tim and Miss Vicky! Not one of history's greatest love stories!! But I remember staying up in my college dorm to watch the wedding on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson!

I don't want to read through five pages of this to see if anyone said Robin Hood and Maid Marian. (I could have said Dante and Beatrice.)

I was just thinking of Tiny Tim and Miss Vicky! Not one of history's greatest love stories!! I remember reading an interview with Vicky a few years ago. Tiny Tim was a real freak according to what she said. Some of the strange things he did were to only bathe a couple of times a year, and just wash his face and hands and hair the rest of the time. He'd also wear the same pair of underwear for months at a time until they fell apart, and he'd never wash them. He also only had sex with her 3 or 4 times and it was over in seconds, according to her.

Okay, what about Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. They have been married forever and all the women wanted him, but you never heard a breath of scandal or read that he cheated on her. Now, with Hollywood the way it is, THAT is a true love story.

Good ones, Bev.
I had always thought, loooking at them (and other "perfect matches") that they share an equal degree of disbelief at each having been chosen by the other.
It's the constant "renewing of fascination" that makes for real-life romance.
Did someone mention Queen Victoria and her Prince Consort, Albert?

Speaking of British Royalty, can one not call King Edward and Wallis Simpson great lovers? The fairy tale story of giving up a kingdom for her surely qualifies!
