We all know that section that asks if people are willing to relocate; and there sure are a lot of those that answer YES, how serious are you guys about relocating for the right person?

Not me, my home is here. I've moved away a couple of times but I always end up right back here so I'm not going to waste the time and money to come right back here.

Well then Skinny BarnCat why not select the answer Perhaps for the right person instead of yes to this question.

I did move a couple of hundred miles north with a girlfriend once. I would probably still be there if things had worked out.

Of course Skinny would probably have to worry about socializing the 'families' too....nothing worse than cat fights!

The "right person" has to own a villa on their own island.

The guys?! What about the women? Or is this all about the double standard thing in dating again?

(Pete, you forgot about the personal jet to fly you out there. )

I would consider moving for the right woman, not out of the country though. I'm self employed and work online, as long as I have a broadband connection I can move my business anywhere in the country with very little disruption. Most of my family has moved to various parts of the country so there are no serious ties to keep me in the area I currently live..

Skinny, you know they always know what you're thinking.... what was that you just posted about Elvis leaving his food out to dry??? Was it Elvis that hissed??

Mine are glaring at me...feeding time. Gotta go before I get hissed at too.

Oh, relocating...sure, why not? My job's in IT; like Summer, all I need is broadband and cell phone. The sons are ready to fly the nest and I haven't been here long enough to really put down roots. For now though, the real estate's appreciating nicely, I like the area and I'm having a great time here. One nice thing about living in a city of transplants, it's really easy making friends.

relocating is no problem for me (i know, i am not a 'guy' but i took it as she was asking as 'us guys'-if i am wrong, oooops)
but i would like to spend a good amount of time together, even short week long 'visits' to see if the compatability part is still there or we kill each other...lol

i have my family near to where i live now, but i know that i have to be happy for myself and if that involves moving then wooohooo!

I won’t relocate because my circumstances preclude it, but I can’t stop anyone that’s willing.

One HUGE caveat, though. If you’re job’s not mobile, you have strong family ties in the area you’d be leaving, and you’re apprehensive about the physical and emotional upheaval of moving, think twice.

I’ve found in my experience that “most” of the people believed they understood the ramifications, but in reality we’re totally unprepared for the consequences. Moving any great distance is not a walk in the park and should not be taken lightly. I can’t count how many times I’ve heard everything was great at the beginning, until we started actually LIVING together (Duh????).

I have little sympathy or patience to hear the bitterness and recriminations afterwards when things don't work out.

One thing about me relocating, there are people in this state that I have already met and we are all good friends. One person really helps me. I give Tocools credit for it. We both have came from Michigan to California to be with the ones we love. My family? I left 2 boys and 1 grandchild behind. Has it been hard? Oh ya, my mother got ill and I jumped on a plane and made it back to tell her good bye.
I do know that at least one of the boys will probably come out here sooner or later.
It gets better every day. I have a husband that loves me and we are very happy.

I am not a fan of Kansas or small towns, which is where I've spent my whole life.

However, I have done SO much traveling and have spent amounts of time in big cities. I definitely want to live somewhere other than Kansas someday soon. I just don't know exactly where I want to go. I have ideas, but nothing definite.

Therefore, I have answered yes and I'm serious about that yes. BUT, it would have to be a very serious relationship for me to move to where he is. It IS something I'd consider however, given the right person.
