Hello everyone. This question is for the party-goers, club-goers, bar-goers, etc. For the ladies, how often do you seriously get hit on by guys when you go out? I don't mean the "Hey baby, what's your sign?" hit on. I'm talking about the guy that is sincerely trying to make an effort to get to know you (at least from your perspective).
For the guys, how often do you really try to get to know the women at the clubs?
Put a number to it please ie. 5 times Friday night, 17 times Saturday night, 1 time Sunday, etc.

Hahahaha....WTH? Why am I even contemplating answering this question? ....ok, i'll play
For the guys, how often do you really try to get to know the women at the clubs? Aside from the ones that work there, are too busted, or whose reputation precedes them? I've gotten to know women pretty well at the clubs. They all end up having the same first name though, Mona . Getting to know them all depends on which Mona you feel like dealing with that night .
(note: ....nah, let someone else break it down...)

Thanks, Sadian. I should have remembered the whole "online" thing. (Keyboard and screen should've been a dead giveaway.) Its one thing to discuss this while out with friends and entirely different here. Most guys aren't going to want to answer this one. And I'm not sure, but I don't think many of the ladies on the forums go out to the clubs too much, so I retract the question.

Well, it's been awhile since I've been to a club that I liked. At the last club I went to, I wouldn't approach one of these women with a ten-foot pole. When I walked in, all I saw was a bunch of skanky-acting women, acting like they were in HEAT, bent over, grinding their butts into the groins of men that they probably didn't even know.
By the way they were acting and dancing, I get the impression they've been "around the block" more times than I care to imagine.
The vulgar lyrics that were playing probably supported the way these gals felt, and were acting. I didn't get a kick out of the way these people were smiling when the speakers blared something about what they were going to do to someone's mother. I'm not a prude by any means, but this was the cheapest slimiest behavior I have ever witnessed.
No, I would rather be alone than even THINK about getting near one of these disease-bags. Needless to say, I took my money elsewhere.

How about turning it around? I must get hit on a dozen times before I actually walk through the doors after some girl has paid my cover charge for me. How many of those girls are really trying to get to know me and how many just want to see if the large shoe size really does correspond with the size of something else? Seriously, I haven't bought myself a drink at a club in a long time. Cheers!

I only go into a couple choice "bars" here, but it's at lunchtime and they serve good food. Maybe once a year I'll go listen to a good blues band, but prefer outdoor concerts. The last several times I was with a big guy-nobody hit on me!

I am bound and determined to learn some of those neat line-dances. Then I'll find me a club around here to practice with a sweet little filly.

The last several times I was with a big guy-nobody hit on me! If you were with a guy, it shouldn't MATTER how big he is. I would hope that guys wouldn't try to hit on you out of RESPECT.

how many just want to see if the large shoe size really does correspond with the size of something else? yup that pretty much sums it up. I dont go to a club to become best friends with someone or even date someone i meet there, i go to have a good time and if that means comparing shoe sizes then so be it.

the clubs haven't changed much since i went way back when.
most of the women are not there to go home with guys but they do like to be hit on and it's a huge part of going.
guys well they are there to hit on women and most want to take you home. some players play the 50 in da club card very well.
with these facts and the fact that both will lie to get or avoid and that in truth a good majority that go to clubs are not single
chances are extremely rare
I would not go but if i did I would not bother past casual conversation knowing it probably bs

it's too difficult to get into a good conversation in a club. It's loud, sweaty, and much too crowded. Clubs are not good places to "hook up".

hmm, I go, it's my Friday night, unwind from the long work-week night to go out, be myself, hang out with my friends.
Actually the place I go to now, ain't much for anyone hitting on anything, I mean anyone in the bar. I have met quite a few, usually conversations are nice and long, sometimes the looks are even better LOL ~ sometimes the friendships gained last longer than the encounter at the end of the evening.
Haven't met anyone in awhile, just off another dating site, I won't even try and relate that meeting!

There was a club I used to go to in Overland Park, Kansas, called Dick Clark's American Bandstand. I used to go every Friday and Saturday night. They played GREAT music, and they even had a little bit of a dress code. I danced in there a LOT, and even fell in love there a few times. Sadly, it has since closed.
Before that, there was a Dick Clark's American Bandstand in King of Prussia, PA. I went there twice. It wasn't very well-attended, for some reason, and it closed also.
If I ever win a lottery, I am going to open up a NICE dance club, where there WILL be a dress code on weekends. People will be expected to behave politely (no SLUT dancing). There won't be any vulgar songs, or any songs about people wielding weapons. It WILL be the best dance club ever!
