So, I had a.............................date the other night. I joined a different site, and was asked out by a woman who also brought a friend.
So, not actually a date....date........just meeting for a few beers. Very casual, she wrote me said she would be in the area, and wondered if there where any good "watering holes" in the area. We exchanged numbers, and played phone tag a few times. I met some friends at a bar that is on the lake I live on, to get a bite to eat, as we were eating the band was setting up. She called I mentioned the band and they joined us. We only talked for a brief time before the band started,,,,,it was a great band, but of course kinda loud, you could barely talk to one person at a time. So I shared conversations with both of them.....separately. Now they left half way through the evening, and emailed the one who contacted me a few times, everything went very well, like I said very casual....Now the second woman has emailed me too. once again Thanking me, saying it was a pleasure....bla, bla bla..
So here is the question, do I treat them as one.......?..or do I communicate with them separately......? I really don't know if I like one more than the other, and not real sure if either one really likes me for more than a friend ? So, how I handle this from this point is probably going to be the deciding factor. I wouldn't want to interfere with their friendship...
My plan was to just see what happens, but I appreciate the advice from most of you........so let it fly.....

do they both know that you have their email addresses? if so send both a thank you letter with both their names in it. If not, only send it to the original girl you dealt with and briefly ask her to thank her GF for coming. the rest is cake....GL

I agree. Send it to both with both their names and I would think it should resolve itself eventually.

You can't treat 2 people as one. If you're not interested in one, tell her thanks, but no. If you're interested in one, tell her.

Oh wow,,now that is a problem. I would say the one you first wanted to talk to should be the one you should concentrate on.

I returned each email as a " Thank you, enjoyed meeting you...." The main reason for my question is.........there wasn't enough interaction to get an accurate reading if there was more than a friendship ..........with either/both of them. If I ask "them " out again, I really have to ask them both out again...or pick one or the other....or assume they think I like one more than the other. And if one of them thinks more of me than the other, I have no way to know......Why does dating have to be so difficult ? Like I said, I'll play it by ear.........but I appreciate your opinions.
Edited to add--------They are both on the same site, that is how we contacted each other. No private emails.

Play it by ear, but remember that women do love to talk to each other.

Thanks Katt, I'm not too worried about it......I don't play well with others when I become the game .
Anyways, they seemed very nice. And there seemed no ill intent from anyones part. Like I said, it was very casual, just hanging out........Everyone has been nothing but polite......Which may be why I want to keep it that way.

If you are interested in trying again Blue, I'd suggest asking the original one out again and see what happens. If she brings her friend again, then I'd think it's a friend only deal. If she agrees to go out, then she's interested. If she says no, then ask the other one. Or don't listen to me at all. Took me 4 years on here to meet someone so what do I know??

Prinny has a good point.
Seriously, I agree with asking the original one out being clear in your intent that it is only the two of you. How I would proceed from that point would depend on her reaction!

What's wrong with Blu just asking out the one that asked him out (and brought her friend with her)?
