Usually by watching how they treat people in service positions...yanno is he a rude jerk to the waitress etc... and men test women??  since when??

During the conversation I try to catch if he is a smiling people who lives well with himself and with the others.
and I'm not sure to know when he tests me ....I guess from the first moment we meet

Yeppers the remote control is a good one.........how about a bathroom with pink accessories!
Which reminds me of pink tools. My eldest daughter bought some and when she needed something fixed her dad would not use them. He had to go all the way home to get his own!

If my gut instinct says that I can trust him, I do that. I don't do tests. If I find out I'm wrong, I move on.
He can test me all he wants, but I think I'm both smart enough and experienced enough to know when I've been lucky enough to find someone with the same values I have. He won't test me either.
KISS works well in a lot of ways - keep it simple stupid, and stay close enough that you can't even see each others' faults...
